Yaya Toure apologises

If Yaya truly wanted to be a City legend and play for us again he'd tell his agent to apologise. Could even promise the slimy fuck a pay rise if he did apologise but the fact he's not doing any of that shows he doesn't give a shit. And so I don't give a shit in return. Cya later Yaya.

Dimitri Seluk tells the Sunday Mirror he's called Pep and Txiki not to apologise, but to discuss Yaya's future, and has had no replies.
Seluk: "Pep is allowing his ego to make decisions that aren't in the best interests of Manchester City."
Seluk: "I know what his problem is. When Pep forced Yaya out of Barca I criticised. This is his revenge. It's personal, not professional."
Seluk: "Pep doesn't want to work with men. He wants to work with players who are very young because he can control them like children."
Seluk: "Pep smiles at you. He makes you believe he is your best friend - and then he betrays you."
Seluk: "Yaya should be made an ambassador when he retires. But the men who control the club don't want him to be remembered as a legend."

if one was turn this around a bit, I wonder if seluk is actually talking about himself?

A lesson to anyone aspiring to become a football agent of how not to be a good football agent.

The guy is an irritant .

I don't like to say it but it's typical African player, money money money. Shame on Yaya. He did some really great work with us and now he's just stealing a wage. I would make him play with the reserves every match.
Loyalty?? He has none.

Disgraceful. Nothing to do with Africa, and by the way, there is not reserve football and there hasn't been for long time.

Well this is beyond the pale. Fuking ridiculous comment.

So he thinks the club don't want Yaya to be a legend, well guess what Dmitri, he was every bit a legend until the day you decided you wanted to make a name for yourself, and now his legend status is dwindling by the day thanks to your pathetic rants. Yaya deserved a dignified exit from City and a big send off, that is never gonna happen now.

Shame that Yaya has gone from Legend status to someone that alot of people, in hindsight, think should have been sold when Cakegate happened and we would have still made some money from selling him.

Haha was just thinking similar. Opens by talking about ego and then continues to talk like an egotistic tit
like City won't dance to the tune of seluk's ego....so is his eyes they are being disrespectful...which becomes City trying to humiliate YaYa. Sounds a bit like Mourinho and Conte the other day?

ps on a similar note, it is interesting that City speak of wanting to be holistic. It might be said that a holistic statement would be something like 'I am here to serve the team as a whole' whereas a non-holistic statement would be more like 'the whole team is here to serve my ego.' Maybe this a change that doesn't much serve the purposes of seluk and, by extension, YaYa?

I think we have gone passed him now anyway, and I would not want him back in the team end of. I could not seeing him playing in our current team, with our style of "pressing" play, so even if that fat did apologise, it would be the token appearance off of the bench, or in the FA Cup. He has declined over the past couple of seasons, and I really don't want us to carry anyone.

Is that you Sam Matterface?
Off the bench suffices in the Queens English. Off of= unnecessary words. Just saying, pedantically.

No replies because everything has been said already you thick fat fuck! Apologise or he doesn't play again. His contract expires at the end of the season and that is that, end of. If an offer comes in before that you will get a call, until then fuck off and shut up as their is nothing to discuss!

Absolutely by extension.
When Seluk first ranted about the birthday cake , everyone thought he was talking absolute bollocks or having a laugh, and expected Yaya to tell us it was exactly that, and nip in the bud. Instead he said that Seluk spoke for him. In hindsight, we should have asked for an apology then or got rid. It was soon after Yaya's brother died though, which may have effected both Yaya's and our actions.

Now though, for a player to allow the actions of his agent to effect the players game time reflects very badly on that player. Is Yaya weak, stubborn, greedy , stupid ,none or all of those things ? I don't know. I just find the whole thing very sad from beginning to sorry end.

Whilst I agree with that bud , I think it's important to remember that ultimately, Yaya has had numerous opportunities to change and influence that, but never has, more importantly, for us as fans, I think we need to distinguish between Yaya the footballer, and Yaya the person, Yaya the footballer on his day is truly one of the best players I've ever seen, a thing of beauty, majestic, powerful, skillful, unstoppable, an absolute colossus, Yaya the person, well, he's just a spoilt brat with a child like mentality and a bit of a wanker really.

Ps, he'd still make my all time best 11.

Bit of déjà vu really, Barcelona fans expressed similar sentiments right before being sold to City, I remember the historic moments most but his agent certainly left some cringeworthy memories too
