Balague has just been on SSN, not sure what people think of his info/opinions generally but he said he really doesn't think Barca would be interested in signing him.

Why would Barcelona sign a player who has disgraced himself ?

I can't believe the amount of people suggesting the club replace Toure with Fabregas. Most of you guys moaned about Toure tracking back when he was playing in a two man center midfield, Fabregas would be much worse.

You're assuming that he'd be asked to play the same role in the same system. Don't think there is much doubt that if Yaya does go that we probably won't be able to replace him like for like, we will have to adjust the way we play. That isn't an insurmountable problem though.

I've tried to take a balanced view of this and hoped there may be some for of innocent - or at least if not innocent, then more palatable - explanation as far as Yaya is concerned.

But as the tock keeps ticking, that's more and more difficult to do. As it stands, it's extremely difficult to see how Yaya himself has not been an absolute tosser in some way or another.

He must have known his agent was going to say this kind of stuff, and his agent obvious was told the birthday cake stories by Yaya in the first place. Yaya can see all the aggro its caused hence his first reconciliatory tweets.

And after the tosser of a manager ups the ante with further tweets and the most ridiculous SSN interview I think I have ever heard, Yaya says and does nothing.

He's either directly responsible for it, or deeply complicit in it. Either way, this is a HUGE lack of judgement on his part, that ultimately he is going to regret very very deeply.

Please say you mean agent there because if not I might have to offer you pistols or swords at dawn!! ;-)

Yeah that Pellegrini. What's he ever done for us. **** him off. The obnoxious, loud-mouthed gobsh1te.

He also said that Seluk did stuff simlar to this very regularly during his two years at Barca, regularly threatening that Yaya would go to Real etc. My assumption in all this was that he had a deal set up with Barca. Maybe not, maybe he is just hoping for an improved deal with us. If so, he has gone about it in just about the stupidest way possible.

This is Manuels preferred system and i don't believe that will change.

Oh fuck its Sergios birthday in 10 days , somebody at City better get to Greggs pronto

Leave it, I work at a huge cake manufacturers in Hull. I'll sort it. Do you reckon an Asda giant cup cake will be enough?
I think it'd be great if you could make a cake that has a top that opens up and out pops another cake.

Aye, Russian Doll cakes.

Re: Yaya Toure

Chippy was clearly referring to his business manager (Seluk) rather than Pellers.

I wonder if this us all to do with the jelly & ice cream song. After all, he hears us singing about having a party, with bouncy castles, jelly, ice cream a DJ, etc when the manager of our hated rivals pops his clogs but thinks "If they'll do that for him, who they hate, why won't they do it for me, who they like?"

Re: Yaya Toure

talk of Pogba as as a replacement, isn't a bad call as a younger version of yaya, right down to his excessive demands off the pitch, unfortunately thats what we are always going to attract, goes with the territory
