Re: Yaya Toure

Negredo and Yaya sold, both want out and seems like the right time to cash in

Kroos and Sanchez in would be my personal preference

Toure shouldn't be sold until we have secured a replacement of the same level though, and there are few of those about and the clock is ticking

It's not about money at all, hard as that might be to believe.

He can earn great money wherever he goes.

It's seemingly about having his head turned and wanting another challenge late in his career.

Manchester can't offer the same as Paris or Barcelona, in terms of a lifestyle choice.

There's a reason why City set up in New York and not Nebraska.

I would not blame a French speaker for wanting to live and play in Paris, or return to a Barca, where the culture is familiar to him.

It's how he has gone about achieving that outcome which is the saddest thing.

Why not just say that then? (new challenge bit)
The next question would be 'Why sign a new contract 12 months ago then?'

Forget contracts, they don't mean fuck all

The Luke Shaw scenario is an example of this, Southampton signed him up on a five year contract as soon as he turned 18 to protect an asset, they knew he was looking for a move this summer with Chelsea being his likely destination before the Rags came in to eclipse the offer, it's looking likely that Southampton are going to make in the region of 28 million for the sake of a signature with also getting one more season out of him.

For those who wear foil hats for a living they may even say Yaya knew he was going this summer and signed to enhance his transfer fee, afterall PSG were in for him last summer before he signed his extension?

we are all talking in varying degrees of emotion,
but ultimately he is a current MCFC asset and for the men in charge i.e tixii etc
its all about timiing
will yaya play like he did last season again, was that his peak?
can we get one more season out of him or cash in now and replace with someone of younger equal ability
the king is dead, long live the king always

Yaya had extensive injury treatment in Qatar after visiting our owners before the WC.

Is the treatment so much better there than in Manchester where his brother was receiving the best cancer treatment?

I wonder how our owners feel about Yaya being "tapped up" by PSG's owners, as appears to be the case?

Re: Yaya Toure

To me it's simple, PL cartel encourage PSG to unsettle Yaya and try to snap him up and hope that we can't sign a good enough replacement because of our FFPR restrictions, it's their last hope that we have a really bad season and drop out of CL like the rags so that they can try and close the trap door with the BT money coming in the following year, it won't happen though, we'll outsmart them as always.

but anymore PSG spend busts their bank FFPR wise, substantial outgoings would have to take place for the above to ring true

UEFA will brush over it because nobody REALLY cares that PSG are there, as they don't take a bite out of their rivals domestic revenues.

Re: Yaya Toure

So disappointing that after such a great season things are still choppy with restrictions and now one of our top players seemingly leaving.
