So now your not waiting to hear it from his own mouth?

We're all waiting...and waiting...and waiting.

Aye, the silence is deafening

From the club as much as from Yaya. There has been a lot of comment in the media but nothing official from either player or club as far as I can see.
Comments can be taken out of context as we all well know.
I have no doubt that the City hierarchy will get the best result for the club whether that means Yaya stays or goes.
Two Premier League titles, one FA cup, one League cup, three City players in a World Cup Final etc etc.
I'm pretty confident that those in charge of our club know what needs to be done.

Re: Yaya Toure

I'm pretty much easy on the whole situation.

We're limited by that pesky one transfer window FFP cap, so we wouldn't be able to replace him in this window. Realistically he isn't going to go for anywhere near the price it would cost to replace him. I do think however that he has guaranteed now that he will be shipped out next year rather than getting a contract extension to keep him here into his post-retirement.

We'll keep him for a season and he'll be the same Yaya Toure he was two years ago which is fine. His form last year was exceptional, meaning that we probably wouldn't have seen a repeat even without this whole drama building. During this time our management team will identify their chosen replacement and they'll happily bring them in next summer and wash their hands of the whole Yaya problem for good. Could even be done in January if he's particularly disruptive.

Just like Tevez, we'll humour him for a little while then ship him out in OUR time.

I trust the people running the club to go about their business sensibly and not throw away carefully laid plans due to a bit of whinging from Yaya. We have a transfer strategy in place already, presumably with a rough outline looking a few windows ahead and we will follow it. Yaya Toure won't get in the way of that.

Far too sensible old boy. I suggest you go away, read the Daily Mail until froth starts forming at the corners of your mouth, and then come back and have another try!

Re: Yaya Toure

I think one thing in our favour is the new style of performance based bonus contract, Yaya knows if he doesn't win things his earning power is reduced plus he knows we have the owners who can afford for him to sit in the reserves if he is not performing. Personally I think he will be back after his holidays as if nothing has happened. The board won't want to sell him and I am hoping he stays. To me what Tevez did was a lot worse and that didn't turn out too bad did it.

Re: Yaya Toure

Seems like our club are one of only a few that dares to stick two's at player power, but at the same time the only club at least in England that gets done for ffp. Yaya can fuck off WHEN we decide and not before. Personally I will happily pick a fight with whatever moron I see sporting the new shirt and with this knobjockeys name on it. Player of the season. He's a tool.
