Not the clubs, no. Yaya said he doesn't feel appreciated by anyone except the fans. So has done exactly that.

Ok, I my bad. I seem to recall some interview with Tranny last year saying how much he loved Real and how he wanted to stay there for a long time. Could be wrong though.

Tranny is on record as saying he thought about moving back to the rags last summer. Perhaps he did, but coincidentally, I'm sure his interest in moving back to the rags did no harm to his wage packet at Real Madrid.

Honestly, can't believe how many people are saying sell him. The argument seems to be that we're big enough now that we don't have to take this shit anymore. Well wake the fuck up, Messi's doing it at Barcelona, Ronaldo did it last year at Real Madrid, and previously at the rags the year before he was sold. Wayne Rooney pulled the rag's pants down several times. There, those are the three biggest clubs in the world. ALL clubs with world class players have this problem. It's just something we have to learn to deal with and take it with a pinch of salt. That's what being a big club is, not throwing toys out of the pram.

Agreed, most of the people assaying sell come should be ashamed to call theme selves blues.

In fact I reckon most aren't

There may be a few rags loitering on the thread but Yaya's actions have genuinely divided opinion - those who feel he is dispensable in the bigger scheme of things are NOT lesser blues. They are entitled to their opinion.

Re: Yaya Toure

If he doesnt want to stay then we should get the best deal we can for him and move on.

I suspect he'll soon find that there arent that many better options for him.

Lets face it, his performances this season have been amazing..

Let City sort it out there way, i am sure there will be a compromise..

I will chuck in 50p towards Yaya taking his UEFA coaching badges so that we don't need to compromise ourselves as a Club!

He is dispensable but that's not to say he should be dispensed with. Before this started, I doubt there was more than a smattering of people who'd have said get rid, so it's fairly easily to label the now substantial calls to sell him as an overreaction.

He said Ferdinand had been on the phone asking him to sign for United !

Re: Yaya Toure

So Toure is made to stay when he doesn't really want to - well I would certainly not be looking forward to a season of "can't really be arsed" performances from him next season. Great though he can be there is enough of that about him on occasions already. Not much point having a great player in the side if they are not pulling their weight.

Thats rubbish pal, its understandable that fans are pissed off after such a successful season and a player chooses,to publicly criticise the club. Particularly that the criticisms have been universally ridiculed adds to the anger as they appear so unfounded.

Its only a hunch but I would be surprised if the issue is money but likely an offer has been received via the agent for a possible transfer and this is the opening gambit in driving the selling price down.

Still Yaya will kindly let us know at his convenience at the end of the World Cup.

You mean before he started behaving like a twat, disrespecting the club and fans while turning himself into a laughing stock? before all that......have I got that right?

"It was true that Rio Ferdinand spoke to me a lot to try and make me come back to United,"

"Rio is a great friend of mine, we played many years together at Manchester United and we were neighbours when I was there.

"He's a fantastic guy and tried to change my mind to go back to Manchester.

"I did think about United, they are still in my heart. It's a club where I played for six years, I love the club.

"I have a lot friends there and I wish them the best."
Indeed he did, must have made it a really tough decision for him.

Exactly, the whole world was talking about Toure' after the Villa game and when we had won the league how he was the worlds best midfielder, two weeks later they are all talking about him being the biggest tosser and labeling City in with it all. Cheers Toure', I'll think of you when my first payment comes out for the three season tickets I can't really afford.

Re: Yaya Toure

Isn't city. Live going to be fun ? Please welcome your player of the year yaya ! Wonder what the crowds reaction will be ? We know what its going to be at every away ground but in a room not a terrace of blues .wonder if he will have the balls to show up ?

Not trying to start a fight but i'm curious as to why you seem to be viewing this differently from Tevez's indiscretions at the club. Unless i'm mistaken I'm pretty sure you said Tevez had to go.

Re: Yaya Toure

I for one would not sell him. I wish he hadn't backed up his agent, but he did and it does leave a sour taste in the mouth, however I just hope the club see it for what it is or what it was meant to be and no one is still sure exactly what he was getting at. If it is a case of throwing toys out of the pram I am sure over the coming weeks things will be sorted and bridges mended. To get most blues back on side I suspect a lung bursting performance and a quick hatrick in his first game back will put this untidy episode behind us.

I wanted him gone, yes. Which is not the same as saying he had to go though. His crimes were considerably worse in that he actually fucked off to Argentina and missed most of a season. I'd call that a very serious breach of contract and City almost certainly could have terminated it if we chose to. Whereas Yaya has simply said he feels unappreciated. The magnitude of the offences are substantially different. Secondly, the importance of Tevez and Yaya are in different galaxies. Yaya has been hugely important for this club, and has been the key player in more of the biggest moments than anybody. Whereas Tevez returning, last season, as I predicted - in contrast to many, didn't help our cause at all, whereas Yaya having a cracker of a season this season aided us no end.
