Fernandinho created more keypasses than Toure last season.

Thing with Fernandinho is that he does everything so quick, you don't notice his work, he's like a ghost.

Maybe, I just feel when under pressure Fernandinho doesn't have that ability to make the ball stick with him like you see others. No doubting his passing ability. I was thinking more along the lines of how Yaya plays now or similar to Xavi / Alonso / Pirlo play for their teams in how they can pick the ball up in CM and dictate the game. Like TCIB said, it could just be the role he has now I haven't seen that from him yet.

You are talking about the deep lying play maker. The one that distributes the ball from a deep position and controls the game. Here he is:

Fernandinho's zone is in and around the final third of the pitch.

you can see how fernando would play in the exact same position yaya does now. literally every pass he makes in that video are passes yaya plays for us. the trade off is apparently a lot more defensive solidity versus yaya's driving runs and dribbling forward. i think if we got a wide left attacking player (e.g. di maria or the like) we could be better next year with fernando and not yaya

hart
zaba kompany CB kolarov
fernando
fernandinho

then either

silva nasri
dzeko aguero

or

navas silva di maria
aguero/dzeko

There will be a compromise. Toure will be allowed to leave for an agreed fee at the end of the season.
This will give us 12 months to work on a deal for Reus.
Yeah, because he is a good replacement for Yaya?

Yeah, because he is a good replacement for Yaya?

i don't think there are any good replacements for yaya. but that means we would alter the team shape to reflect that, playing more like a dortmund or pre-Pep Bayern

According to MCRJON, Silva and Kun are signing new contracts..

I bet you 100%, this is the issue..

I wonder if Silva's and Kun's contracts will be £220,000 a week.

I know YAYA starts most games but isn't our win ratio higher when he isn't in the team?
I don't know tbh, but from memory the games he didn't play season just gone were against lower league opposition for the most part and we dropped points against pool and sunderland without him in the league.

Thought that was the case.. when YAYA's name is on the team sheet I bet it scares the shit out of opposition players

what like the points we dropped against Sunderland away?

Ermm. We were 2-0 down against Pool when he went off and then played them off the park in his absence and but for Kompany having a brain fart and Silva being too small, would have turned it around to win.
I wasn't blaming Yaya's absence for the result, just answering the question. As someone said earlier if he goes we'll bring in a replacement so it's not a great comparison.

Re: Yaya Toure

imo he's done enough in the last week or so to warrant getting rid, at 31 and with three years left we should be able to get more than enough from either PSG or Monaco. The way he and his "agent" have conducted themselves is ridiculous and they're an embarrassment to the club. I agree with Billy Shears, fuck him off and invest the money in younger players or anybody who doesn't think he's bigger than the club , I'm not bothered who they are as I'll trust the powers that be to do that....... as long as it isn't Brian Marwood.

Will i forever think he is a dick? yes

Was this your view on Tevez K? Not a criticism, just curious.

I think you could be right. Thankfully, unlike the views of Yaya and his agent, there were 10 other players on the pitch who played just as big a part in us winning the title who seem to be happy to play for us.

Seems his agent has put him over the tipping point

1) He doesn't get on with the spanish duo
2) Yaya reckons he is the main reason why city have had sucess
3) Challenging city to sell him and win the title with Fernando
4) Selling him will raise money for FFP
5) Wages are now affected by FFP in as much as they are bonus related
6) If Pellegrini is about to buy more midfield players Yaya reckons should be excluded from rotation policy of Pellegrini but won't receive assurance from the manager.

Everything to say Yaya is not happy in his present circumstances but stops short of requesting a transfer which would affect loyalty bonus. He his engineering a way out of city so that it looks as though the club want rid. Bloody daft way of doing it in my books.

Seems to me he has played his last game for City.

There is no way back from this. His agent has spouted far to much shit and Yaya has spouted his fair share to.

Move him on whilst he's worth something and before he gets in the ears of other players.

Pellegrini is astute and intelligent enough to tweak the system so it flourishes without him. I have no fear whatsoever that we'll be just as good with whoever his replacement turns out to be.

I thought we would be in trouble without him but we were ok
I was torn on whether i wanted to see him back and i was never really comfortable with it but was grateful he helped us win the league
He will always be a dick to me and i never want to see him again

In my opinion which is probably wrong , and not asked for. I don't believe him and tevez are the same. It'd be like having 2 children where one is a fuck up and one is an honour student . You'd celebrate the dumb one not going to prison and getting a job at subway, whereas you'd hold the intelligent, tactful one to a higher standard. It was easier for me to look at tevez as being manipulated by his agent and not knowing any better , therefore easier to "forgive" him.

Thats a good way to put it
