eg. <a class="postlink" href="http://fourfourtwo.com/blogs/laligaloca/archive/2010/06/03/rosell-preparing-to-end-former-friend-laporta-s-reign-at-barca.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://fourfourtwo.com/blogs/laligaloca ... barca.aspx</a>
Like Laporta, Rosell also wants Cesc, but he is running on a platform that the teams debt is way too large (he claims its 629 million euros, not in the 200 million range that the incumbent claims). If they buy Cesc, they will HAVE to do some selling. It won't be an option.
Like our own Garry Cook, he is also a former Nike executive.
Maybe Cook is waiting until next Monday to do the real negotiating.
Probably a lot of truth in that. Cook and Rosell were power players at Nike in North and South America at the same time so they, without question, will no each other very well.
I'd never really thought about that connection - but having thought about it now, it would make sense for him to want to deal with Sandro rather than Laporta...
