We probably are negotiating with him and because we have turned down his first proposal he has thrown his toys out of the pram and gone running to the media to try and pressure us to crumbling.

This isn't going to happen and I won't be surprised if Yaya leaves or signs a contract.
Not surprised you won't be surprised.
Those are the only two options!
:-)

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Forget it. Yaya has just recently said that he wants to retire with us.
Fucking media will do anything to make money.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Also what about this from the OP

'5 year contract extension, takes him to 35, signed

You'll hear about it in the summer'

Did he jump the gun?

100% agree.
If he goes, we move on.
Its not as if he's been spectacular this season.

Careful mate,I said the same about Merlin but got shouted down.
I do however agree with you.

Kin Hell, i said the same on about page 7 when part of this thread was in the transfer forum and they resorted to some cheap insult.

Yaya is a beast, just not the same beast from last season.

Yaya is a beast when he feels like it or in "big" games, where it suits his ego.Much like Adebayor.
He has been a petulant baby for some time now, get rid.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

His agent is a tool.

Remember this

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Gutted about this Yaya how shown no respect to the club and fans. He should shut his agent up

What's probably happening here is that the terms between City and Yaya are sorted out but they've told Seluk to piss off over what he's asking for out of the deal.

Isn't that why we ended up with Sinclair and not Hazard. Sometimes we have to make exceptions.

No we don't.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Just to try and put a few minds at rest...

Firstly, you can't really have a pop at The Sun for running the story, they are simply reporting it, any other media outlet would love to be spoon fed like that.

Kastranakis is a busy cnut, and knows every shady foreign agent in the business, speaking five languages.

He was also the 'journo' who was blanked by Mario at his Milan press conference.

This guy Seluk has form <a class="postlink" href="http://www.totalbarca.com/tag/dimitri-seluk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.totalbarca.com/tag/dimitri-seluk/</a>

I am told he has nowhere near the influence he used to have over Yaya and his advisors are now part of a wider management group.

He clearly isn't up to speed if he hasn't seen the giant pictures of Yaya around the stadium, Newcastle away being one of them.

It really is this simple. Silva's contract was seen of more importance because a) he had less time to run.

b) He earns way below what Yaya has since they both arrived.

Begiristain and Soriano have no need to rush for a guy who turns 30 this year and with two years remaining.

It will get done on their terms only or not at all.

I do wonder about Yaya and his headache last weekend, going into international week and now this plant.

As for the threat of buying himself out of his last two years, I may be wrong, but understood that to be only if a player has played less than 10 per cent of games going into his final two years and over a certain age.
