What's probably happening here is that the terms between City and Yaya are sorted out but they've told Seluk to piss off over what he's asking for out of the deal.

Isn't that why we ended up with Sinclair and not Hazard. Sometimes we have to make exceptions.

No we don't.

out of Hazard and Sinclair, I know who's having the better season.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Looks like a negotiating tactic to me. Lets see how the club react. The fact Txiki let Yaya go from Barca probably doesn't bode well for him. Would be a shame if we had to sell him ala NDJ as I think Yaya's a world class midfield player and arguably one of the best in his position in the world. But he is also coming into the part of his career where we might start to see a steady decline so I can see why giving him a payrise and a longer contract might be worrying.

Like all employees, players will come and players will go. They all go with my best wishes anyway.

I would actually sell him and never thought I would ever say that, certainly if we could send him to Spain or PSG for £30m plus.

I suppose Chelsea fans never thought of life without Essien.

Yaya is a wonderful player but his age concerns me in terms of the contract extension, plus wages.

It's not as if we haven't had our money back.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

This story is bollocks IMO. Reason being that Yaya's agent reckons the only person he respects at the club is Mancini yet according to some on here all the players can't stand our manager so Seluk is clearly talking shite.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

no player is bigger than the club and we shouldn't be held to ransom.

yaya comes across as petulant sometimes.

Have you not heard anything about this 5 year contract extension then?

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Still hope it's untrue as letting a player of yaya's stature leave could only be a bad thing.

However, woken up this mornin with a refreshed sense of paranoia. !!

Lets not let the famously well adjusted uk press turn us (the fans) against ANOTHER one of our own à la Mario (who I'm willing to wager will be back on these shores in a season or two winning leagues for one of our rivals).

Now, back to the media, what do mario and yaya have in common? Hmmm and if they succeed with yaya as they did with mario, it will be Micah next. Or vinny.

It's pretty much club policy not to sign-off on deal during the season, barring a couple of desperate exceptions.

The issue was raised last summer and if we had any intention of selling, we would have inked something there and then.

He's got two years and City have offered terms, like it or lump it.

Hardly a rush with two years left and him 30 this year. The agent says it's not about money, but it's always about money.

Seluk has imposed a deadline of this weekend, so it's time to call his bluff.

Good points Kazzy. Shame the media can't focus on traitor Ferdinand
