Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Could have sworn that he was quoted has saying recently, that he wanted to finish his career at city.

Yes but that was Yaya not his agent, so the quote can obviously be dismissed.

He did twice, once was on the website and mancini said it would be done, who is holding it up seems to be the question, must be tkiki, hedging his bets maybe.I can see a big falling out if mancini is staying

Quite a few posts on here stating we should not worry IF we were to lose Yaya. How exactly do people think we will become a great side if we lose players like Yaya? The likes of him, Silva, Aguero and Kompany are the key names to attract other really big players.

Whether we like it or not we are not big in players eyes when compared to the likes of bayern, barce, milan, madrid, scum etc, so we need to build on players like Yaya to help attract others like him to our club.

We have had to buy and pay players well above market value to attract them -we need to then use them to attract others, not sell low and buy more expensive, and for sure if we sold Yaya we would get a fraction of what we would have to spend to replace him - who could do what he does, and what would that cost, assuming such a player would want to come?

FFP is real, people on here have scoffed at it for years and said it will not affect our owners, that they and we are too clever - well it is real and it is here to stay, and losing prize assets is not a clever way around it, in my opinion.

Keep Yaya City

So true is frightening.

We need this guy. His name alone attracts others.

If you listen to this forum then all the strikers would go, yaya and silva would go, we've done on without kompany so he would go, Mancini would go and we would be using our new training ground to train some young talent to take their place!!

FFS it isn't babe station!!!

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

Manchester City remain relaxed over Yaya Toure's contract situation, according to Sky sources.

The 29-year-old midfielder's agent has claimed that his client is ready to tell City he will leave the club if a new deal is not concluded by this weekend.

Dimitri Seluk said talks have been ongoing for six months over an extension to Toure's current deal, which runs to 2015.

However, Seluk also suggested that things have not gone according to plan and he does not feel that Toure will stay.

"If he signs a contract in the next three or four days, OK. If not, we will not wait any longer and will start negotiations with different clubs," Seluk was quoted by The Sun.

"Today is Tuesday, so it means by Saturday. We will say 'Thank you. OK, Yaya will leave in May.'

"I do not feel he will stay at City. This is not about money. He wants to leave because of many reasons.

"He is one of the best players at Manchester City but does not feel the respect of the staff. Only Roberto Mancini respects Yaya."

Toure, who joined City from Barcelona for £24m in July 2010, is currently on international duty with the Ivory Coast but he said ahead of last month's Premier League game against Chelsea that he wanted to stay with the club for good.

"Of course, I'd love to stay at City. I'm here with the guys who love you, the guys who care about you," he said.

"It's strange because throughout my career I have only been at clubs for two or three years, often changing after just one or two years. Here it's different. I want to stay longer."

sky sports, city relaxed about yaya deal

I bet City are.

As much as his manager likes screaming how there's a long line of those that can't wait to pay 20-30 millions for him followed by 200k per week I'm not really sure that is the case.

Or a deal in place
