He doesn't want more, he wants the SAME but Soriano is trying to get all new contracts on a reduced basic + bonuses like at Barcelona.
Don´t think it´s ok for Yaya to earn that kind of money when he´s 30+

Exactly, would you want a 34-5 year old on 200k+ a week?

That sounds likely

Playing wise I don't think we would have won anything without Yaya. He's inconsistent but a big game player, and it would be demoralising and very damaging if he were to leave.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

At least now we know the real reason he didn't play against Everton!!

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

If he wants to go (not saying he does) I'd be happy to let him go.

He's almost 30 and his best years will soon be behind him (we were lucky to have him in his prime).. He will only get worse from here on in.

He's on a fucking huge wage. We could get a very tidy fee for him from someone like PSG. Makes great financial sense and helps with the sustainability drive.

This fee could be appropriately utilised.

He hasn't been great this season.

It isn't that big a deal.

Completely disagree, it would be disastrous if he left. We look a much weaker team without him.

It isn't that big a deal.

If he didnt want to play or threw a sickie and dumped his team mates in it then see ya.all will become clear v newcastle and the morning headlines will be all about it in the usual way the papers try and put them off pre-match

Except for the fact that at his best no one on Earth can touch him :/

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

"I do not feel he will stay at City. This is not about money. He wants to leave because of many reasons."

So, according to his idiot of an agent - apprently Yaya has no desire to play for Manchester City anymore. His client states a whole host of reasons that he wants to leave - none of which are anything to do with money but one is a frustration that he does not get the respect he deserves at the club and only Mancini likes him.

However, if his client gets a new contract by the weekend then Yaya will stay - and with it all his 'many' reasons for wanting to leave will suddenly disappear?

So essentially - 'please pay my client £55m over the next 5 years even though he is desperately unhappy and even more desperate to leave. Cheers.'

What a shit negotiating point.
