5 year contract extension, takes him to 35, signed

You'll hear about it in the summer

You know your stuff ;)

Yet some slated him without even checking his post history :/

Indeed you're correct but I do actually believe the terms were lower and the agents words and Yaya's stance has maybe got them a deal slightly better.

One things for sure, MCRJON needs to be listened to and appreciated.

Here here.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

If it means another League title then give him whatever he wants.

Re: Yaya to sign for..

Well at least we are paying for someone we know preforms well instead of speculating on bringing someone in from the continent.

Re: Yaya to sign for..

Yaya is the Schrödinger's Cat of Eastlands (trapped in a permanent simultaneous state of leaving and staying).

I hope the reports are true though.

I bet the deal was agreed as stated a few weeks ago - the brinkmanship and threats were probably to do with agents fees - £5m for a couple of hours work or similar.

Re: Yaya to sign for..

No way is he worth 210k at his age.

That's like Messi/Ronaldo level wages and he's not that good.

Iniesta and Xavi earn less. I mean WTF

-- Thu Apr 04, 2013 4:41 pm --

Great news glad he has signed new deal
Your actually happy paying a 30 year old 200k a week?

Re: Yaya to sign for..

Just because it is in the paper it doesn't mean he is getting £200k a week.

They've been saying he's on £250-500k for the past three years despite the club saying that if he got every bonus (winning league, champions league etc) he still wouldn't be on £200k a week.

Obviously we don't know - but the speculation is that the base salary has dropped to circa £140 / £150 per week - with some big incentives if we win things. Either way George Osbourne's austerity measures won't be biting too hard in the Toure household - just yet.

Re: Yaya to sign for..

Signed a four year deal according to TS news just now. Big quote from him too - usual guff, "want to stay forever, this is where I want to be" blah blah blah.

Happy though. Very happy.
