FFS. Really does my head in this does. You realise we're champions right? Toure scored the winning goal in the FA Cup. Scored the crucial goal at Newcastle last season. It's pisstake how the future of one of our best players is being questioned halfway through the season. Absolute pisstake. United signed fucking Shinji Kagawa last summer. And you expect all our players to just deal with this and come out and play like champions again this season. Really am disgusted at the lack of respect and lack of support shown to someone who was INSTRUMENTAL in winning the league for us last season. Just disgusting. WE SHOULD REALLY JUST LEAVE THESE DISCUSSIONS UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON AND GET BEHIND THE TEAM. FFS.

You may wan't to apply that to all Man City staff then Billy.

Mancini was the manager who won it for us, does he not deserve the same courtesy your affording Yaya regarding speculative talk being held of to the end of the season. ?

You can't say that and have half your posts speculating about Mancini, cake and eating it etc etc.

woooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh;)

I really should stop posting after i first wake up, i'm a grumpy dopy fool for at least an hour :)

The team spirit fostered over decades at Manchester United cannot simply be bought.

World-class talents like Toure, Tevez, David Silva and Sergio Aguero joined City primarily for the money.

Re: Yaya's agent says he is ready to quit...

I thought after the FFP rule the wages will go down

So If he know on a reported 200K a week, it will be better if he accepted less basic salary with possible bonuses to cover the difference between the old and the new contract.

Apart from Russian clubs and PSG, I am not sure that any other club can match his current salary.

right we're on sunday ... has yaya's agent come through on his word and yaya is leaving or was this whole thing a tactical move from his agent using the media thinking he is dealing with the old regime & CEO who would listen to his bollox?

That's exactly what this was. He has no leverage, the team does. He'll be 30 at the end of his city contract and no club in the universe will give him a 5 year contract then, even at half his current wages. So if he's going to get a long term extention it has to be now. Lampard can't even get a 1 year contract extention from Chelsea. So the agents only hope is to try and drum up some public outcry to pressure the club into buckling. I just hope the club holds firm. Offer a 1-2 year extention strongly incentive based. If he's not interested that's OK, he will be at 32.

He'll be 30 at May, 32 at end of this contract.

Just had seen he was born on May 13th :)

Legend watching him now against Newcastle really did win us the league :)

And the two goals in the FA Cup didn't hurt that run either.
