Yaya Toure

You're right imo easily the best
AND easily the biggest enigma
I honestly feel the team would have been better off at this point if he had left a year or two ago
I think he was so dominant they all bowed to him
like they were waiting for him to take over
I probably have it wrong but that's the way it seems to me

Yaya is the best player I've ever seen in a City shirt. He's been the catalyst of our success, and even now is the one player capable of sheer magic.

Agree he is very capable but this season just seems to have been too inconsistent for me, almost a shadow sometimes, but when he 'turns up' is truly wonderful to watch and can change a game.

He has a weird ability to score goals that shouldn't be scoreable. I don't know how to explain it, but he is the one player who score from shots I didn't expect to see go in. On some occasions it's shooting into a crowded area. 9 out of 10 it hits someone and it's blocked. Yaya is often the 10. The one that just moves at the right speed to avoid moving bodies and body parts.

Then there is the lazy swing at the ball thing he does. Often looks like someone putting in a cross. Somehow it fools me and apparently almost every goalie. Coz they always realize it's going in about the same time I do: when it's fucking too late.

I've enjoyed every minute of watching him at City. He has been special. And while I've loved David more ( I know you couldn't tell with the way I'm always pushing Isco of late :p) I must say, Yaya for me has been City's best player of this era.

Deeply flawed, but immaculately beautiful nonetheless. A polarizing legend? Sure. The best since the takeover? Without an iota of doubt.

Hard one. Yaya has of course scored many goals and crucial ones too. But how many games has Silva dictated and won us the game that way? Unfortunately you don't really have stats for things like that so it's hard to judge.

Goals win games but controlling the game is very important as well. In our title winning seasons a big part of that was our capability to dominate teams all game on a regular basis. Silva was a huge part of that. Then again Yaya was a part of that also!
