his defending was poor.

he was instrumental in the attack.
His defending is always pretty poor though. He's a player for when we have the ball, not for when we dont. Thats Fernandinho/Garcia.

Spot on.I wish people would stop prattling on about Yaya's defensive responsibilities.

HE DOESN'T HAVE ANY.

His job is to be free and available when the rest of the team win the ball back, and get it to the first player open.

Sorry, this is just not the case, and cannot be the case in a 2 man midfield.

Poor in general today IMO, yet again let off because he scored an absolute belter.

Shame he keeps scoring those absolute belters

Most touches, most passes, important goal and assist!! The guys immense.

HIs long range passing was amazing. He found runs from team mates numerous times and one resulted in the navas goal.

To the guy in 324 who frustratingly exclaimed " for Gods sake Yaya , just bloody do something " as he picked up the ball on the edge of our box at 2-1.

The rest is buried along with his 14 th the goal of the season

Cheers Pal , you made my day .

How can can still moan about Yaya? No player is without flaws, and Yaya has one (defensive contribution), but is more complete than most other midfielders in the world. He deserves god status at City.

Also, those chipped long balls of his >

Under Mancini we too often tried to pass our way through narrow spaces, now we mix it up with wing play, longer balls, and the usual passing through the middle.

He is probably the best midfielder in the premiership and one of the greatest players ever to wear the sky blue. His strength and control are probably the best I have ever seen and his range of passing is immense. We are very lucky to have players of this stature playing for us.

I though City lacked 'energy' and movement today. Especially Silva and YaYa. YaYa only had one burst of energy running 3/4 the length of the pitch to score, But was absolutely cream crackered afterwards. Indeed, I'm not convinced he's fit. After every heavy contact today he was obviously in discomfort. he needs a break and should now get one till the Spurs game a week on Wednesday.

Still a great player going forward from midfield.

It really pisses me off that Silva can't head the ball.

The independent writes
"There was a run from deep in his own half by Yaya Touré, as strong and certain as a midnight train through the moonlit countryside."

he plays for us

Love it how his goal stemmed from getting mad about his own error. You won't like him when he's angry!

Cardiff kicked the crap out of him today, still got up and scored the deciding goal. In an attacking sense, he's having an incredible season. 20 goals is on.
