Yaya

Since we're aiming for first place why would the rags aiming for top four affect us?
Colin I think if we win tonight we are back in the race for top spot. If we lose then it's going to be a tough ask.

I thought he was excellent on Sunday, and he'll be a huge miss tonight if he's not fit (assuming he decides not to revert to disinterested mode). He brought a power and control to proceedings that the dippers could not contain

Rewatched normal time last night and it brought home just how well he contributed on the ball. As Nev Knev pointed out, it helped that the team shape wasn't reliant on him haring about chasing the ball thanks to all the work done by the Ferns and Sterling. When he is good, he is on a different level to most players; thankfully, in their own way, players like Silva and Aguero can operate at a similar level but his combination of touch and power is almost unique.

Disappointing to see how smart the lads looked to and from Kiev, in their TM Lewin suits, waistcoats and ties - then Yaya saunters up with his top button undone, tie half way down his chest and no waistcoat looking like he's been up about 5 minutes. Not very holistic.
I wouldn't know if he had or hadn't recently but I'm aware Yaya does/has suffered with Migraines and maybe had just woken up after a banging headache or from some side effect of Migraine medication?

There's no proof he might of just had bad migraine on that day but there's a possibility there.

We're all allowed to feel like shit are we not from time to time?

Matt Dickinson, chief football writer in the Times, says today that Yaya should have been sent off for what he calls a "filthy and spiteful lunge" at a Liverpool player. Filthy? When do hacks use such abusive language towards players except if they are towards City? After what Aguero and others have to put up with on a weekly basis, too. Would he ever call United or Liverpool players filthy?

I think to call a player's actions "filthy" is far beyond the bounds of critical reporting. I would write in to complain but they don't print such letters.

No one has ever argued about his quality on the ball. It is his work off it that is a problem.

Think he has played really well last 2 games. Helps when Fernando and Fernandinho both play and are able to do his running. Hopefully he is fit tonight and same team except with Hart back.

Also, why no mention of the Liverpool tackle (forget who it was) early in the game. It seems to be only City players who commit filty fouls. Mind you some on here deny there is an agenda.

There may well be but not a lot anyone can do about it so I tend not to think about it too much. In fact I don't watch Sky Sports News and don't read Newspapers any more as they were just winding me up. It was a good decision!

It was lucas and a clear red total intent on injuring our best player!
