Yaya's Goal - Was It Really "Out Of Nowhere"?

I think the biggest giveaway that it was a shot is the pace it was hit with. We've seen a lot of slow-mo replays, but watching it in real time it wasn't floated towards the goal, it was hit with the same power that most players would generate taking a run-up. A cross that is over-hit usually goes further but maintains a steady velocity. It's quite difficult to accidentally hit a ball with that amount of pace.

Don't you just love it , love it , when a plan comes together. - Yaya is special (although I am guilty of moaning at him in some games)- definitely a shot.
And sceened worldwide.
Am I a happy Blue? - no need to answer that.!!

Ask the prick who he was crossing it to?

Seeing as Yaya looks up just before he gets the ball of Zab, there can only be one course of action he was going to take, and that was to stick it into the top corner.

Fucking superb goal.

Slightly off topic but we're Neville and Tyler getting paid extra for the word Sensational? Used it after the first 3 goals and more than once on each occasion.

Ask said raggy to come up with example of Yaya aimlessly floating ball to the back post ? its not something he does !

Do you work in a home?

Where has all this crap about a cross come from ???
The shit that gets heard once and then regurgitated
Perhaps all United's crosses were really shots then???

Stop debating it - it's not even worthy of discussion (yes - I realise I just discussed it!)

I think it was Neville who said during the commentary the power of the shot was amazing considering he didn't take a run up.

Never in a million years was it meant to be a cross...there was far too much pace on it for dzeko or silva to get on the end of it.....yaya knew exactly what he was doing....tell the rag to fuckoff.

yaya's was a whipped cross to the back post and Samir's was a sliced "shinner" that fluked into the corner. Sunderland should have had a penalty when Yaya "shouldered" in the box. and Navas's shot could have gone anywhere on any other given day.

lets face facts lads, we were bloody dam lucky again. I have never known a club to have such a lucky season.

I'd say he meant it me he hit it hard enough for it not to be a cross as well. Just a wonder goal.. One of the best wembley has seen

That's what happens when you have to watch carrick and cleverly - you can't tell real class when you see it!
