An ordinary bedroom with hindsight running approximately 14 foot by 10 where my narcissistic twunt of a brother and I slept accompanied by a brace of 2 foot by 6 foot single beds a double metal window that let in ample light yet sadly froze solid on the inside @Winterfell .. Also two storage cupboards with one doubling as an airing cupboard.

For entertainment an amp and a couple of guitars a fidelity record player and vinyl with buckets full of prog rock shoewaddywaddy t rex and my favourite album of all time capitan fantastic and his brown dirt cowboy. A kaleidoscope which I turned to regularly for escapism and a collection of glow in the dark Frankenstein and Dracula monsters from the airfixis collection which I used to store in the cupboard before bed time as they were possessed by things best left undiscussed.

And that was our world with no internet no phone no computer games no long pants no ipads no game consoles no drones no color telly no heating shit jumpers without any sleeves a shit mattress piss poor sleep quality and a nose full of vic vapour rub from mother even in summertime.

It wasn't all gloom however because at least there were no fat venomous Trotskyite bell-sniffs with amputated fringes snarling at pensioners and also we used to be able to leave a five pound note on our garden wall and it would still be there three weeks later .. Except for those dreadful Nuns we were all to a child much happier back then !

Used to have Transformers bed sheets and a City Big Banana hung up on the wall.

Woodchip wallpaper painted peach, City programmes pinned to the walls with any City picture out of Shoot magazine or Roy of the Rovers. Had my Wembley flag (1981) drawing-pinned to the ceiling too amongst several unpainted Airfix planes. Still got the flag! My room was the little box room but I had Subbuteo permanently set up in my mum and dad's room as it was the only room it would fit in!
Happy days. Great thread
