no but id put money on the people who use guns for crime get hooked on the power they have over people when holding a gun therefore we have gun crime, banning them wont solve it neither will giving everyone the right to bear arms like the yanks have done, the only way to do it like anything else is to find the source and stop them but the consequences of this could be fatal i reckon, these illusive WMD's whos to say that arms smugglers have'nt got them

but it depends how you use it, if your talking about (usually) illegally aquired guns that are used all over the world for crime then fair enough, but take me for example i underwent checks on my personality and criminal records for about 4 months to receive my shotgun licence which i will be using recreationally, shooting purposly bred birds, rabbits and the odd fox-conserving livestock and land, and then there are gun appreciators (such as this thread is meant for) who like guns how they look etc

You won't be shooting many rabbits or foxes with a shotgun, mate. You want to get a rifle for them.

I used to have livefire rifles and a shotgun (good for birds) but I got fed up with the police checks.

Now I shoot small game with an Air Arms s 410 with a good scope - I never miss.

Occasionally go deer stalking in Scotland and we shoot .65 calibre rifles - supplied by the estate.

As I said earlier in the thread, hand guns should be banned IMO, as they are only made for shooting at other people.
 
Went shooting a couple of years ago with a couple of yank mates. Drove out to the back of beyond where they proceeded to pull out all manner of fooking guns, an AK47, pump action shotgun, handguns, you name it.

It was an interesting experience, but one I'm not arsed if I ever do again. Certainly gave me an appreciation of the power you hold in your hand when you carry one of the fookers. The shotgun was the most fun to shoot btw.
