Your personal lowest point as a City fan

.............and another one..

Losing 3-1 away to Sunderland in the FA Cup replay in 1973.

Nurse, pass me the pills. This is all getting too much for me.

Do we not have a counsellor on call - I feel in need of some serious therapy.

A 5-0 defeat to Newcastle in 1983 really resonates for me. We had got relegated the previous year and thought we were going to bounce straight back.

I was at this game , and we were truly awful ...... Newcastle had the big names in their side , Gascoigne , keegan , Waddle etc

It kicked off in the open end , and the atmosphere was pretty hostile all afternoon , from the minute we disembarked the special train at Manors station to the walk to the ground from where the buses dropped us of ..... it was a terrible result for us I agree.
Gascoigne didn't make his debut for Newcastle until 1985, BM.

utd 5-0 i was in the k stand for that game, horrible experience, stayed seated all the way through even for the goals, it was a wonder no one sussed me out.

90th minute last season home to QPR .

89th minute Gillingham in play off final.

York away yes i did go, and strangely i had a great day in the pubs before and after the match, but the game itself was shocking and it was the lowest ever ive seen City and i thought we would be stuck in this league for a while. But luckily had a good run after xmas and made the play-offs.

4-0 loss away to Southampton in a league cup game on a Tuesday/ Wednesday night in the early 80's. It was cold, miserable, very wet and we had a long car journey home to look forward to.

Low point was Big Joe being chipped for the last goal...still feel the misery that goal caused me now.

The OP was perhaps trying to bring a sense of perspective, but expectations are relative.

We are infinitely better off as a football club now as compared to 1998. It's a footballing miracle.

But our expectations have changed so much so that a QPR away draw can be painful.

hehe .....

the things about that game i remember best was the crowd surges on the packed Gallowgate terraces , and i think a lousy back pass from a City defender that let them in to score ..... oh , and a brick just missing my head outside !
