Your worst ever City game witnessed?

January1965

City 1 Swindon Town 2

Buzzer scored for Swindon.

Record ever Maine Road low attendance...8,015.

Stood in the almost deserted scoreboard end, freezing my knackers off....lol!

Oldham away, no roof, pouring down with rain, just a tee shirt and sweater, no money to buy another shirt, travelled back to Euston same day, very damp. All that for a 0-0. Ok not the worst in terms of results but for some reason I remember that day well:)

2 0 defeat at the st marys when keegan was here.

I was there and Didn't the Soton fans love it

Yep. My biggest memory of the game was the players coming over at the end and they got booed and being told to F off by most of the city fans. Only Schmeichel got a clap - It would have been even worse if it wasn't for him.

Apart from the obvious, such as Luton:
The FA Cup quarter final at home to Spurs. Battered 5-2 live on TV after being a goal up and really believing it was our year, Swales 'proudly' unveiled the small, embarrassing Umbro stand and my mate got nicked for joining the pitch invasion. And he had a lump of draw in his pocket.
The embarrassing, gutless cup exit 3-0 at home to a struggling second division Forest outfit was the day I realised Hughes wasn't up to the job. Pathetic.
Probably the worst was my 30th birthday. Me and my brother somehow managed to blag hospitality with the match sponsor, meal, tour of Maine Road, the full works. Then got tonked 4-0 by Charlton on a freezing December day, including one of the most comical own goals of all time. Absolutely fucking gutted.

Couldn`t choose just one. If pushed though away at Port Vale March (i think)1998. Lost 2-1, Viekens scored (Port Vale did the double over us that season). I knew we were getting relegated to the old 3rd division that day. Cried on the way home. This is up there with City horror shows over the years for me.

You're shit, and you've got no balls.
Or was that Tranmere?

Remember getting pissed wet through. Got home and found that the signiture on my cash card had washed off. It was in a wallet in my pocket!

all the obvious painful ones so I'll just go for one of the many 'what the fucking hell was that shit' moments during the period of our worst fall from grace

inevitably losing to crewe away in front of the six blokes and a whippett that support crewe

jason van blerk :-(

crewe were then in a higher division the following season along with bury, swindon, port vale, tranmere, stockport and oxford

i still prefer to think that maybe it was all just a very bad dream
