Your worst ever City game witnessed?

[quote="BillCarlisle Ex-ManchesterOne of the worst feelings ever, but it wasn't my worst ever City game.
I would agree with the Bury 0-1. I remember my mate and me leaving the ground saying it was rock bottom, we'd never ever seen anything as bad as that and that we were both seriously thinking of jacking it in. I gave him a lift back to Openshaw in complete silence. As I was dropping him off all he said was "see you in a fortnight then". It made me laugh then and still makes me smile now.

Thank God I didn't jack it in (although there was still a lot of pain to come, of course).[/quote]

The Bury game to me was when i knew we were doomed and there didn't seem any hope on the horizon.I just remember sitting there thinking.....''Shit...this is as bad as it gets!!''

The only upside was as it came in the middle of a romantic weekend[ahh those were the days] i had more of that to look forward to when i got home.I remember her saying,''We should have stayed in bed'' as i cursed and groaned at yet more ineptitude and we both looked at one another and burst out laughing.

league cup quarter finals Wednesday 11th January 1995
Bolton Wanderers 1-0 Norwich City
Crystal Palace 4-0 Manchester City
Liverpool 1-0 Arsenal
Swindon Town 3-1 Millwall

We had a nightmare of a coach trip down to Selhurst, but all fired up thinking this was our year, and then put in this shambolic performance, it was a very long trip home.

2-3 against the muppets is still very painfull but equally the 3-3 against them was just as bad when they eaqualised after Hendry put us 3 up followed by White hitting the bar with a just after, then the inevitable happened.

Cup match away at Luton think we scored first and got beat, at the time of the inflatables.
Ditto Middlesborough away kinkladze scored first and got walloped again.

Also a midweek home game to Wimbledon in 95 think we won 1-0 but never been so bored in my life it was freezing and empty about 20,000 a horrible game.

That's funny! I was at the game too, sat in Macc's main stand. Utter, abject shite until the Goat saved us. Still not as bad as Tranmere or Wycombe. The Macc game was bedazzlingly Brazilian by comparison.

Vaguely remember watching us get stuffed at Crystal Palace in a League Cup QF. Watched it with 100''s of other Blues in the City Social Club. I'm sure Palace got 4 that evening. Can't actually remember the final score or what year it was. Does anyone remember?
