Applauding opposition goals at Home

It was Nash where Arsenal dismantled us at home. Weaver's debut was in the 1998/1999 season against Blackpool.

City played the Rags in a testimonial for one of our players, could have been Lakeys, at the end of the season. It was either 98 or 02 and was just before England flew out to go to the world cup

GPC agreed to let all the Rag England players play some of the match and they were all subbed en masse. I swear they got clapped off by the City fans

Only the mythical game in which the whole stadium applauded, threw floral wreaths of appreciation and partook in mass genuflection.
Thought that was a derby match when they only lost 4 - 1. There were scenes of mutual hand shaking and back slapping between the rival sets of supporters outside the ground just after the match.

Then I woke up and realised it was just another nightmare.

I feel bad when anyone scores against us at any time so it never occurs to me to applaud. When my head has cleared I might chunter about it being a good goal but applaud a goal, no matter how good, never. That's not bring bitter. It's just a gut feeling and I go with that.

I may have done but it would have been either a game we were winning comfortably or getting beaten the same so it didn't matter. Usually I am so gutted we have conceded I curse, I may mutter, ''That was some fucking goal'' just after if it was special. I don't think you can applaud a goal against you if you are emotionally involved. I remember everyone cheering the Charlton goal in the 5-1 promotion game.
