The Waiting List

That's a good point mate, a lot of existing SC holders have probably moved to cheaper seats. The easiest way to generate a spike in demand is for us to go out and buy some world class players, so hopefully the powers that be know something we don't! :-)

The Club have been listening to you! We've just made a 100million Euro bid for Pogba!

Somebody on the club tour was told 40000 season tickets sold,, considering we had 37/38000 season tickets last season, and 10000 approx on waiting list the figure is not that brilliant. Last year we had 7000/8000 tickets to sell including away fans and struggled to sell them, this year it will be nearer 15000

....and we've increased ticket prices! Doesn't look to be the smartest move at the moment.

We will know better if the Club gives an official update. It may be 40k sold or it may be considerably more - based on the seat planner info for seats available following season card sales!

Having worked at football clubs, I'd be very surprised if a tour guide knew information like that. If sales aren't going too well, you can be sure that as little people as possible know

The new stand looks fantastic, absolutely delighted with the progress we're making.

I can't help but feeling that from a strategic point of view, increasing ticket prices while at the same time expanding the stadium may have been the wrong call. If we'd kept prices the same, completely filled the stadium every week next season and had it rocking, we could have crept the prices up in 2016/17.

Increasing supply and increasing prices at the same time, without doing anything significant increase demand, kind of goes against basic economics.

It'll be interesting to see how match day sales go and what prices they are set at but I think they've got it wrong too. The demand is there to fill a 55K stadium but not at the prices we were charging last season. If they wanted a full stadium every week and create a buzz then season ticket prices needed to be held at the very least and maybe increase the amount of cheaper seats available.
