I've no idea why we put him on the right at sll. He's unbelievable on the left, and seems much less effective on the right.

Yaya has been our best player since his return, outstanding in most games & totaly deserves his place & another 12 month contract, ok today he wasn't at his best but did enough the 1st half like the rest, that 2nd goal is so important & gives us the breathing space we need. We totally dominated the 1st 45 minutes & should have been out of site but just like Boro, Everton & Burnley in a way we nearly blew it & to be honest clement is doing a good job with Swansea & they came out changed a couple of things & got playing some decent football & deserved a point but when we now have more than 1 match winners in Jesus & Sane who were my MOM'S even though Leroy was not as effective second half but was defiantly starved of the ball.

Pep should have changed it around 60 minutes as Dino was non affective down that right side espeacialysecond period.

KDB was poor & should have been dragged on the hour mark, we were all over the place inc Silva, but we managed to do what has become our motto never give up fight till the end 3 points in fact 3 massive points.

Big mention to Willy who never looked out of place again,

relief really, because we nearly fucked it up at home yet again. Would have been the 5th needless home draw this season without Jesus at the end.

Brilliant first half, but once again it was only 1 goal and not 3/4/5. Then 2nd half, much like the Boro game, we completely switched off and the bottom fell out of our performance. Players who were great first half completely fell off their game, it was absurd.

Same issues. Not putting the ball in the net, soft yet dodgy goal conceded, once we don't get a penalty our play drops away and the subs take far too long.

It wasn't good enough really, why we can't string home performances together like we can do away is starting to grate, and it's the same issues all the time and we should just be putting these games to bed.

Glad we won, grateful for Jesus. Need to take that bit of luck and go forward.
 
Did any one else notice a totally fucked dinho get bypassed for the Swansea goal?

Would of been better to put zabba or nando into the def mid spot with fresh legs not a very tired player moved from right back where he had to play out of his comfort zone so worked harder than normal

Pep definitely dropped one for me there

Fucking disrespectful....... Clowns don't win three premier league titles, as well as all the other silverware this fella has won. We got a bargain with him and he has been a fantastic professional throughout his career. Can't understand any so called blue calling players that have been instrumental in our success clowns. Give your head a fucking wobble and have a think.... Too many of our fans are becoming entitled and mirroring the attitude of scousers or rags.

Problem is so many of us turn on Sterling who defiantly was not the worst attacking player today, he never got the run of the green again today but caused enough problems in the 1st half & couldhave got us another pen.

Sterling was no worse than KDB so why not call him out??

Until the change Silva was playing in no mans land so again why not call him out??

It wasn't great in the 2nd half but we now have more than1 winner on the park we just need that quality in final 1/3 , our corners are getting worse.
 
Well I'm happy. So what if we didn't thrash them? The win is more important, as is a brace and MOTM performance for our newest player. We're never going to destroy every team.

The first half an hour was possibly the best I've ever seen from Manchester City. Sané in that half was immense. Jesus has shown the qualities to be not only a world-class player but a future captain.

It's a good time to be a blue. Just think- Liverpool with one win in ten (the replay of a competition they are no longer in). Leicester with a few million new fans already abandoning them as they near the relegation zone. United with one defeat in 20 games and still sitting in sixth. The most promising young talent they've got hasn't scored in the league since September.

When we've just watched a brilliant young player win us a game to take us to third I don't feel like complaining.
 
Too much sideways or backwards passing, we have quick players out wide and through the centre, so just take em on.
Though Sterling was poor again, as was Clichy. Valuable 3 points.

FFS, don't understand City fans like you....

You make a perfect rational well rounded assessment of our current situation and amazingly don't have a pop at fans or various players and sound all upbeat about where we currently find ourselves, well shame on you, cheering City fans like me up with your positivity...
 
The first half no complaints. The second half we were just shocking in both decisions of players Pep brought on just lucky we got the late goal. Feel next week there will be a few changes in the line up. I think the wingers will be given a chance but away to Bournmouth we have a great chance to get a few goals again. I think Pep might not leave it as late in getting Kun out on the pitch again. Is it crazy that I want to see us playing with Kun and Jesus up front. I just think that would be good to see. I think a few players had iffy games. KDB didnt look up to much today. Yaya went missing at times in the second half. Sterling didnt get much ball to danger there full backs. Silva the hearthbeat again.
 
I used to think Dyer was alright as a pundit as well, if a bit bland. Oh well; another one off the Christmas Card list. No analysis of Swansea's offside goal either.

Believe me, when the players deserve my criticism they get it, and it wasn't the best performance today by any means but when we've won and gained two places I just don't see the point :)
 
So how do you like Fernandinho at right back?

I think Pep got it right. He might stay there all along. Leaving room for Toure in the middle but more importantly, as a Pep right back he does the central cut in better than pablo or sagna, much better, giving Pep the midfield numbers he wants.

So one problem solved. Only has to buy a left back and centre half in the summer.

Well I hope the characters you described improve mentally & physically so perhaps they can stay untill the end at future City games like the rest of us lol.

Maybe my original comment was a little rash, but I only wish for a better atmosphere and that the players are clapped off by a full stadium.
