Referees/Officials

It's the inconsistency that's so annoying. Anyone makes mistakes but u have mings and rojo comparison.... then Huddlestone red card compared to some of Rojo's tackles (again)... it's just terrible, from the same top class refs. Think the laws need reconfirming and they should use Tv whether refs have seen incident or not..... or players will continue to get riled up. I don't think It's never been as bad

Game gets faster and faster and players more devious

I don;t think City are penalised in comparison to say Arsenal or WBA, but everyone is in comparison to Man Utd. Everyone else is relatively worse off than them, and we feel it more cos they are our rivals. That's my opinion. I short, no bias against City, just bias in favour of Man Utd.

I know these can be a pain the arse on some things, but the ref analysis they do usually seems pretty good

"All of these decisions are potential game changers involving sending offs, penalties or goals. Arsenal have a net result of 27 such decisions against them in the 16 weeks, Man United have 22 in their favour and Tottenham have 10 in their favour."

Unbelievable!

The football is fixed blog has a list of 100 matches that they claim were fixed in recent years. On that list are the two loses against Spurs and one to Chelsea:

54. Man City 1 Tottenham 2 (Feb 14th 2016) Premier League

61. Chelsea 2 Man City 1 (Oct 27th 2013) Premier League

72. Tottenham 4 Man City 1 (Sep 26th 2015) Premier League

I have a slight memory of the spurs matches being controversial because of the non-penalty spurs got and the rest of their goals were offside but were still allowed, am I correct?

I don't remember the other examples on the list since it's been a while

yep, the spurs home match in feb last year was clattenburg giving sterling handball that hit his back. the away was walker 5 yrds off side & kane offside from free kick

i think the chelsea away in 2013 was joe hart & nastasic fcuk up ? not sure about ref decisions

Hmmm.... If I recall correctly, in both of the spurs games we were denied clearcut penalties, am I still correct?

There are a number of questions that should be asked, and answered by the top people at the FA, Premiership, Referees and sky.
1, Is there any corruption within English football ?, and who would it benefit ?.
Yes. The scum, the candlefucks, the chavs, arses and spuds, and telly corps.
2, Are our Referees corrupt ?, is there any collusion ?, who would gain from this ?.
Yes. Yes. See above.
3, Why is the standard of match officiating so bad ?, and why do we accept this standard?.
Because they are instructed by the corrupt FA to do so. Dunno.
I know these questions will never be asked, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be asked.

I agree with this. Some of it also is indirectly in Utd's favour - a decision vs Spurs or Chelsea doesn't directly favour Utd, but it serves to keep City back. City being top dog in Manchester repeatedly makes spinning for Utd harder.

Anyone got any stats on how many MANUre players are NOT charged with offences for which other teams end up with a three or five match ban. I can think of five just of the top of my head! And that's only this season! Come to think a little harder, and that's just one player I'm thinking of!

Those Scudamore comments rarely get the credence and recognition they deserve.
Thats because most folk missed them completely.i didnt know he,d said that back in September 2016.....didnt realize until feb this year when another Blue posted them on here.i id already binned attending games after mr taylors cheating performance v chelsea (after 30 yrs home and away)....when the powers that be openly announce that football is no longer a fair game, there isnt, imo, any point hanging about.
But thats just me.

Good article by Stuart Brennan, changes nothing. Until referees are required to explain decisions publicly, nothing will change. I have no issue with mistakes, they happen all the time in all walks of life. However in general, people are required to explain/atone/correct them. Referees it would seem are not
Its called cheating.to an agenda.

No way will refs be ever accountable, ever again.

Time for the club to go to war with the Mediah. if we just keep taking it, they will just keep giving it. Time to ban the feckers or put the journos amongst City fans who can give them a good slap.
As to referees. It's not just the big decisions it's mainly the small decisions. Against Liverpool we couldn't go near a Liverpool play without giving a foul away yet they could go through the back of ours with impunity. It's every game though - you'd expect X% of the fouls +/- a bit if you had x% of the possession, but our opponents always get considerably more fouls than us. It is frankly a joke.
I,m not effing laughing..

Never a truer word has been spoken. Money rules first, second and third these days. It is all that matters in today's world I'm afraid.
And folk still naively think that the fortunate foxes fairytail tite win was nowt to do with their billionaire owners influence.little plucky leicester eh..?
Their owners, seeking to curry favour with the unpopular ruling goverment in Thailand, and the majority of that country who hate that goverment announced
A couple of yearz ago that leicester will win the premier league..pretty much like scudamores outrageous comments in september 2016,no fucker noticed.
And guess what.... they did.

If sunderlands owners announced that THEY would win the title next year how many would fall about laughing...?? Or call it a fairytale if it did happen?

Thats the problem. Folk dont remember.the examples u list are pretty clear in my mind.having been at all 3 matches?

Calciopoli is happening here. I'm convinced of it.

Sadly there are too many vested interests who are happy to collude to keep it that way.

The game at the Bridge that I thought was fixed was the 2-1 defeat in 11/12 where Clattenburg ignored a blatant foul on Silva in the area when we were 1-0 up and followed that up by awarding a late pen to Chelsea for their winner. Clichy was sent off for 2 yellows but from memory he couldn't argue too much about those.

Also thought it was a bit harsh having the 6-0 win against Pompey on that list just because Jo scored! ;-)
