Just a thought. But if he is fit in May, he has a retail value greater than if he isn'tI just can't see what there is to lose by giving him a go. He's still arguably the best defender at the club (couldn't be any worse than Otamendi was on Sunday) and if he breaks down again then what difference does it make? He's going to have to play again at some point.

I know some won't be happy with me saying this but persisting with Vinnie has fucked us over for 3 seasons now. We badly need to replace him.
Agreed,we should treat him right,he still has a while on his contract i think as wellI'd let Vinny do what he wants - he doesn't owe us anything. If he wanted to try and play this season i'd let him, if he was ok it would be a massive boost for him. Imagine if he was fit enough to play in the FA cup games and we managed to get to the final with him having played 5 or 6 full games to get fit, imagine if we won it with him as captain. I'd much rather leave the door open to that than f him off like some failed squad player for a couple of £mil. The guy is a legend and we should treat him as such.
