The battle for 3rd place

Do you actually believe what he tells the media is true kaz?
I watched the game, that 2nd half we didn't know whether to stick or twist.he see's the bigger pic so tell one of thes enior players what to do for the best,i don't buy he has no part in the game from the sidelines,he shouts a lot of the game,in the end it didn't matter anyway but still worthy of discussion

We wouldn't be, if our forward players could find the goal, not much any manager can do about that (or the idiots from PGMOL).
he could have dumped his crap goalie much sooner. then learn from the first bore draw at home that rotation in the prem doesn't work. two basic errors, granted along with the bent refs are why we are where we are.

How many points did the "crap goalie" cost us?

Some might argue he did, and he's conceded 61 in 36 games in Italy ;o)

More seriously though, how would that have made our forward players put simple chances away ? That is what has cost us, and its majorly why we still don't know if we will finish top 4, I've lost count of the number of games we should have scored at least 4 or 5, we wouldn't have drawn or lost any of them.

can't argue with you on this point.

he cost us confidence. he gave opponents hope, then proceeded to dive over anything that came at him. so then that's that. want to talk about the points rotation cost us?

Rotation hasnt cost us and neither has the goalkeeper or defense.

Our forwards simply haven't scored enough goals from the ridiculous amounts of chances we have created, thanks to the best manager in the business.

You know Bill. He hates a manager until he's sacked or wins a league.

Then blames the new manager and bemoans losing the old one, until the new one is sacked.

Occasionally dresses up as a clown to admit he's wrong.

Rinse and repeat.

wow. that's delusional. worryingly so.

ah I get it. you are reeling me in.

*applauds*

I dont really understand why people choose to characterise it as either entirely the defense or entirely the attack. Its clearly been both. The strikers have missed too many chances. The defenders have have been shaky, when they havent actually conceded soft goals they've given plenty of encouragement to the opposition.

exactly.
they see Dave, kun, sane and kev etc rested and it pumps them up. throw bravo in the mix and they know they are in with a great chance.

All of which would have been no more than an irritation had we taken our chances at a better conversion rate than this season's 17%.

Sssshhhhh its the Bravo and Pep are shit happy hour again.

Lets not spoil it for them.

thought i'd list a few games where Pep took the piss and got burnt.
Celtic away.
Everton at home
Boro at home
Burnley away
Stoke at home
Boro away.

we eventually won at Burnley but we drew the rest. 8 prem points right there.

For your "took the piss" I see "trying-out new idea's, thoughts, formations etc". OK so he doesn't always get it right but he's learning tons and we will benefit hugely from that.

lets hope he does. that said having been held at home to boro he proceeded to do exactly the same at the away fixture. so didn't learn a thing on that one.

Hahah. I stopped at Everton at home where we missed two pens. KDB and Aguero and arguably had our best performance of the season.
