I would favour VVD or Bonucci over Laporte. Whilst Stones hasn't strictly been a bad signing, we do have an ugly habit of signing young centre backs who don't live up to their hype. Rodwell, Savic, Boateng, Mangala and Nastasic all spring to mind.

I'd say Boateng lived up to the hype. He is World Class.

Pep will use a back three at time next season.

At his time at Bayern, especially in the final season, he alternated between 3 and 4 at the back depending on the opposition.

Rightly so in my opinion, no formation/ tactics fits universally.

i agree that team looks very defensively weak in midfield.

Not got an issue with him staying at all if he is not first choice, would certainly be useful in games as a replacement

How can you possibly arrive at that conclusion? How?! We won dozens with KDB, Silva and Fernandinho, or KDB silva and Yaya, and Fabinho is more defensive than both of them.
