no he bloody ain't. Not even close.

He is, You might not think so, but the general consensus is that he is. Our manager thinks he's the best CB in the world and so do his fellow professionals who put him in the world team of the year, and the journalists in germany who made him POTY there last season.

He's also nailed down a starting spot in one of the 3 best teams in the world for 5 years, and won everything trophy possible for club and country.

So when you do that, and coaches, journalists and fellow players think you're one of the best in the world...you are.

nope, it's just popular opinion. It's not backed up by his own performances, as Bayern's CL woes in recent years highlight.

NOT a bench warmer

That's what I'm saying. The transfer window isn't open yet, so it's probably not a transfer of a player in contract with another club. Thus it's more likely to be someone out of contract, but there aren't many (any?) of those players who are better than bench warmer levels available.

If it is a contracted player, then it's either Fabinho or Ederson of the players we are linked to, most likely.

No, it's the consensus.

You're free to not think he's world class, but you are in the minority. Plenty of the best coaches in the world have said he's world class, his fellow professionals think he's world class and so do journalists.

His individual performances have seen him win every trophy going whilst being a key member of those teams and win a whole his of individual accolades and trophies while he did it as well.

Just because he had some dodgy spell here and you didn't like him, or you just don't rate him, doesn't mean that the overwhelming consensus is wrong.

Doesn't make him world class. He's not good enough, he may have played in great teams and got by, but come to the crunch he isn't good enough, and he's proven it over and over again.
