Move Bravo. Get a homegrown backup :) Always hated the backup foreign goalie idea.
It's an option, but we also know it won't happen, we can all find a way to get Nasri in the squad, but I haven't yet seen one that I think Pep would consider.

A midfield of yaya sitting with nasri and silva either side and KDB and Bernardo just in front .... PORN :) we'd never lose the ball lol.

Time to move him on I think. No doubting his ability and on his day can be the best player on the pitch. Sadly those days are few and far between.
He's played a big part in our recent success and I don't dislike him but it's time to say cheerio.

Yaya made a very public apology and slapped his agent and long term mentor down, pep wanted it and got it,he also got superfit and played out of his skin to get his place back, nasri came back fat and asked to leave,as i say completely different
That was 12 months ago and Nasri was also coming back from a long term injury. Nasri asked to go on loan, Pep wanted him to stay presumably because he saw the benefit for Manchester City.

Both are quality players and were overweight and acting like nobs. One redeemed himself and the fans sweep his discrepancies under the carpet, the other.....
....hasn't yet shown whether he will redeem himself given the chance.

Can't say I've ever been his biggest fan, but if Pep thinks he can work with him, its fine by me, not that you, me, or any other fan will have any say.

We don't need to that's the point, we only need to make do to find room for Nasri, Why make do with Fernandinho as a fullback for Nasri when chances are unless Bernardo, Silva or KDB get injured he'd hardly be used. List 17 non homegrown and let's see who misses out to get Nasri in, that's Peps job and just guessing but I'm predicting he won't find a spot for Nasri. We'll have to see.
Trust me, after what we all witnesses in the US, it's not a decision of Pep finding a spot for Nasri, it's if he wants him yes or no. If it's a yes, then we'll find a spot. Personally I'd fuck off Bravo & use that lanky kid who came on in the 2nd half yesterday. I saw three saves from him that were more than a bit special, one of which I doubt either of our 2 senior keepers would have made.

For sure, It looks as though he is being every opportunity to impress just now, so we will have to wait and see whether he cuts the mustard with Pep

The question isn't if he's an exceptional footballer, it's if we want him. If Nasri's attitude had never been a problem, trust me this wouldn't even be a talking point. All you have to do is to see how Pep eulogised over him last night. The only players I've heard him talk about like that were Kroos & Bonucci. High praise indeed...
I am not in the anti Nasri camp, nor in the strongly pro Nasri camp. But Pep frequently eulogises about players after matches and according to some Bayern fans sometimes just before selling them. I really wouldn't read to much into them.

According to peps quotes today. Looks like he's toast.

You get the feeling peps still pissed off that he didnt stay when asked to last year.

I've seen Pep do his eulogies previously, this was something exactly as he did with Bonucci & Kroos, 2 players Pep badly wanted but couldn't get.

Samir just needs a manager who's badder than he is to keep him in line. If Pep has done this with Yaya, trust me he can do it with Nasri. If Nasri were to come out with a grovelling statement saying he needed to go on loan last year to sort his head out, but by doing so it also made him realise what was important to him, and that was being a part of City's squad, that would show willing on his behalf. The club haven't asked him to do so, so he needs to come out and say this himself as part of his redemption.

I've always loved Nasri as a player and believe he can easily surpass what he's achieved with us previously primarily because Pep will stand for no shit from him. This I believe is all Pep needs to be certain of, because his ability is not in doubt.

maybe you're seeing double and that's why you think he's huge...didn't you listen to Pep's comments in his post match conference after Spurs match regarding Nasri's quality or maybe I take it YOU don't watch City then.

Car salesman: "This one's a shit colour nobody wants and it's been to the moon and back. We couldn't get the fcuker started this morning but I'm sure it will be fine".

Two foreign spots available, if we get Sanchez that takes up one, meaning one spot for a centre back who can cover the left or do we save some money and keep Mangala. The other spot if we dont go for a CB could go to Mbappe or Nasri. Suppose depends on who wants either Nasri or Mangala or both. Whatever the final squad it will comply with all the requirements of CL and prem. Oh the joys of being a blue these days. (rubs hands in glee).

Alternatively, Pep was simply deploying his PR skills. Given his concern for professionalism, I doubt he was impressed with someone rolling up under a new, renowned manager, looking like Mr Blobby.

I've heard Pep be just as complimentary in the last year about Silva , Foden, Kompany , Stones, Messi, Bravo, Sanchez & Others. I have read complementary statements from him in the past about plenty of other players including apparently Dante just before he was sold. I suspect his statement is genuine but its just as likely to be creating a good sales pitch as wanting to retain him.
I am not averse to keeping Nasri if Pep thinks he's useful but suspect we are well supplied in that area and he would rather use squad spaces elsewhere. Happy to state that I may be wrong and agree that he is a very talented footballer.

As it stands, it will be tough. Especially if that 3 CB formation is going to become a staple. But if he's going to predominantly use 2 CBS, then Nasri can keep Kolarov's number and foreign spot :)
