Everton - Post match thread.

Did Aguero slip with that chance, not had the chance to watch it back. Seemed like he was waiting and waiting like he did last weekend.

B Silva and Sterling deserve to start next game.

70% possession with only 10 men. I'm seriously proud of our 2nd half as Everton spent the whole of it clinging on. Even with 10 men we were the only team trying to win it. Sterling missed an absolute sitter, but scored a stunning volley & in Bernardo Silva, I think we've got another Xavi!!

Some may look at it as us dropping 2 points, but it was a point gained & there's another 36 matches to go. That young boy from Everton better watch his his fuckin back the cheating piece of shit!

Tonight exposed our dire need for 2 quality left backs. Sane as a wingback IS NOT the answer! I was surprised we went with a back 3 tonight as I thought we'd have been better off starting with a flat back 4. All said & done, its a point. Acoording to the Rags they've already won the league, so is there much point in the rest of us pkaying again this season?
weve just bought one of the most sought after left backs in word football , will be reet once hes match fit

Pissed off, fault lies with guardiola in my opinion, why the fuck are we constantly trying to get in behind teams who park the bus. Where's the interchanging diagonal runs, its been evident for both games. What have done all week in training?

Pep changed the game with the subs. Thought Danilo was excellent! Happy with the grit and unity we showed.

Well done lads. Not best result but lots of positives. Need to be more clinical in front of goal though.

Few positives for me
-Sterling - came on a change the game
-Edersons - his distribution is top class, though maybe yet to be properly tested on his goalkeeping skills

Edit - also the spirit of the team in the second half was top

352 with Yaya - devastating.

352 without Yaya - disaster.

I don't know what it is that's caused Pep to drop him after he looked great there in preseason, but whatever it is, the system doesn't work properly without him.
It's the solar eclipse.

You sound like a rag..... every time we drop points it's the refs fault..... stupid of Kyle walker. Sane as wb is a no no he was terrible all game. We was shit regardless of the ref.
Walker did nothing wrong it was a lunatic sending off. Sane didn't have a good game. Dominating and creating all the chances is anything but shit. In the second half with 10 men we were way better than they were.

We all said we didn't want to see 3-5-2 and it was so obvious again today. We just looked far more dangerous with Sterling on the pitch (with a man less!) giving the Everton defence something to think about. Sane had a dreadful game (his mistake for their goal probably costs us the 3 points in the long run) but you've got to look at Pep for playing him in that position, the formation was a joke against a really ordinary side at home when they're coming to sit back and have zero pace upfront.

Despite the manager getting it wrong initially though I was really pleased to see some fight in the side in the 2nd half and it could be a big point come the end of the season. To turn the screw with 10 men for such a large spell is no easy feat and we managed to do that later on in the game. Pickford made a few smart saves too, one in particular from Danilo.

He stepped over to deliberately block him.im not saying it was a second yellow(it wasn't). But Madley will fk us over given even the slightest chance. Walker having just been booked was imo an idiot for even drawing attention to himself.
Madley didnt give the foul. Michael Oliver did after half the everton bench ran over to him and complained

Fernandinho adds sweet fuck all to this team that another player can't do.

Poor starting formation from Pep almost cost us...Sane was very poor this evening. We did well to get a point out of that and worked very hard 2nd half, usual story continuing from last season, lots of the ball but not putting away the chances created is still costing us.
B Silva looked much better than D Silva, I'd seriously think about starting him on Saturday.
Otamendi and VK were good 2nd half.
Dreadful decisions from the referee for both sendings off but obviously we were hindered more from his mistake than they were.
Stones equally at fault for their goal, a step forward would have played the guy who crossed the ball offside right at the start of the move plus he then marked open space.....
Surprised that Jesus was subbed at HT, he was offering a lot more than Sane was and we didn't 't really pick up until Sane went off....no agenda against Sane here by the way, he's one of my favourites at City but he was not good tonight.
Feels like a moral victory at the end.....but first home game of the season and we needed to lay down a marker
