FIFA are investigating Wolves signing of Patricio this may knock any Zinchenko deal on the head.

Fuck all FIFA can do if Sporting were in breach of contract under Portuguese law. Has to be dealt with by the Portuguese courts.

I read with interest that he doesn't like Manchester, "the food is terrible and it is so grey all the time." So you can understand the appeal of the bright lights and golden beaches of Wolverhampton. The women are better looking there also, and the accent ( I added the last bit).

There is a lot of interest in him because 12m rising to 16m is cheap for a player of his standard
I can see us getting more than that, Gunn went for 10m rising to 13.5m with add ons, Zinchenko has played in the first team, so can see us getting 20m quite easy, but he may not want to leave which would be great as I rate the lad.

I agree, technically very sound, passing excellent - he slotted in very well last season and will develop into a very good central midfielder. His only real weakness is a lack of pace. If we don't sign a DM I'd prefer it if we kept hold of him.

Premiership proven why we not getting at least 20m for him he is young could have 10 years plus In him. We were after him from wolves fee would be 30m and probably end up paying 25m.
This all day long.
16 million seems a poor return for a young player who’s just been part of a premiership winning side....
I would love to see him in a more offensive role but he’s not likely to get that chance at City. Still no reason to sell him on the cheap.

I agree with this completely and would even go further and say if we can't get a DM we really want I would rather see him getting the chance than going for a stop gap panic signing. He has the potential to be a quality player and showed playing at left back last year that he can handle a defensive role (at least in a team that has 60+% of possession) so he could actually turn out to be a very good option there. We also need to start showing some more faith in the young players - I know he didn't come through our academy but it will still be a good sign to the academy lads that young players will get a chance.

If it turns out that he is pants at DM we always have Delph and Gundo as options too - if it works out we mightn't need to splash out on a Fernandinho replacement at all and we can put the money towards Aguero's long-term successor
