Do you think we could play the match behind closed door in the new stadium? Or is it impossible to even that with safety concerns?
Fuck that if we are the team that has to pay the price. I believe City have made the Premier League and FA well aware of this point.
You sound more and more like a scouser, "it's not our fault".What has been dealt with? Mace are responsible for hiring the subcontractors who have fucked up in this instance. The subcontractors are responsible for the fuckup.
And, I repeat, no one is “paying the price” for anything yet. The game hasn’t yet been moved.
Now being reported in the papers that Spuds want to play the game Monday nightat Wembley on a dodgy pitch which would knock our Caraboa Cup match to the Thursday and our league game to the Sunday, the one problem and certainly why City wont agree it (yet) is that we than have a Champs League game which could be scheduled for the Tuesday. All this potential disruption because of a penny pinching miser.

No Mace are a construction partner (so Spurs are jointly liable with Mace) and Levy has been micromanaging the project. As such, Spurs are 100% responsible.
Absolutely. It’s Spurs’ responsibility alone to ensure that they can host the game on the advertised date. I was merely correcting the inaccuracies in the post that I quoted.
By the way, despite all the debate in this thread, there is no confirmation yet that the new stadium will not be ready by 28th October.
Jim, surely even you're now thinking that there's a distinct possibility that this game doesn't get played at your new gaff. I appreciate that you get a fair bit of info yourself which you pass on in good faith, but the amount of rumours flying around about what's been going down on the stadium site - admittedly some are from fans of your rivals but even Spurs fans have been told there are serious issues - would suggest that this is a long way off being completed.
So it goes on to penalise Southampton and distant City fans (like me!) who have already paid for travel on 3rd November and potentially means rearranging fixtures for whoever we and Spurs might be playing in the League Cup? Can't see that's an acceptable solutionNow being reported in the papers that Spuds want to play the game Monday nightat Wembley on a dodgy pitch which would knock our Caraboa Cup match to the Thursday and our league game to the Sunday, the one problem and certainly why City wont agree it (yet) is that we than have a Champs League game which could be scheduled for the Tuesday. It makes no difference who the contractor is. When there is a big cock up in a company no matter whose fault it is , often the CEO has to fall on their sword. Ultimately it is the responsibility of Spurs as they are responsible for employing the contractor and agreeing the timelines.Levy hasn’t been putting in the electrical systems. Nor have Spurs been overseeing the work. That has been Mace’s and the subcontractor’s responsibility.
There’s an awful lot of rumour going around - much of it from dubious sources, as you say, and most of the remainder from those with an incomplete knowledge of the situation.
Yes, there is absolutely a possibility that the stadium will not be ready by 28th October. We simply don’t know yet how extensive this problem is and how long it will take to put it right. It could be a matter of months or it could be a matter of weeks. I simply wanted to remind those involved in the discussion that the one option that appears to have been ignored altogether is that the stadium will be ready in time after all.

Probably already mentioned in the previous pages but changing the game to our place would work wouldn't it and then play them
Away later in season

We end up with two many away games in the critical run-in. City shouldn't go for that, too risky.Probably already mentioned in the previous pages but changing the game to our place would work wouldn't it and then play them

They must have known it was going to be a tight schedule to complete the works for September and any sensible organisation would have had contingency plans in place for delays, which appears not to be the case.
