So after being too fat to play for two years, Luke Shaw has become Maureens subservient little pet so has actually been allowed to play again, done pretty badly (yet bizarrely getting praised for his performances because he's apparently less shit than everyone else), so is getting a new deal with a pay rise? Nice work if you can get it.

5 years i believe at £150k per week, not clear if that is a basic or if it is made up of performance related bonuses and pies.

Been told by someone who works at utd former player, Jose will be gone by the end of the week.

Shame but looks like hes days are over.
I think this could well be true.
Both parties know its just the contractual side of things that need sorting; the meeting in London last thursday would have been negotiating...
The relationship is dead.its over....its like the waiting due to contractual negotiations to sign a big player-its just an out of date manager who is playing hardball now...only a matter of time.

Reckon this is to tie him to them so they will get money when they sell him.?

Very much limiting the clubs he could go to, as he isn't going to walk away from £39 million contract without getting at least fairly similar money.

I would also argue all the teams who could afford that have better left backs.

Good man management and financial prudence combined - courtesy of the " biggest set of fuckwits in the world " !

See Shaw is getting pelters from people who probably haven't seen him play this season. Very good player

Because they always tell some no-mark in the back room first.

No, Mourinho has been kept out of the loop.

So tell someone who will blabber to a neighbour to post on Bluemoon or go running to the press? Even by their recent standards of wankdom, I doubt the utd board are that stupid.

He's a decent left-back, no question, but by the end of his new contract he'll have cost United circa £100m in total. I suspect even the most ardent United fan would find those figures eye-watering.

How long have you been banging this drum?

I've only watched the Spurs game and he was woeful. Left huge gaps behind and is a total liability positionally.

He's a decent full back on the front foot. He's no better than a Van Arnolt or a Yedalin.
Certainly not worth the contract he's getting and that's if you ignore he's been total shit his entire United career.

Don't think anyone doubts he was a very promising player before the leg break. What there is doubt over is whether a few passable games this season justify a big contract.

Compared to whom, other rags this season?

He certainly isn’t in Mendy's - or even Delph's - class, from what I’ve seen of him, which admittedly isn’t much.

Apparently 190k a week my god that is unbelievable amount for a decent fullback. No wonder they have the highest wage bill
