Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Absolutely not, but it certainly won't harm a guy who 'only' earns £60k a week at present and has a much higher ceiling than Raheem, both in terms of talent and commercial appeal.
I wonder where Leroy sees himself in the pecking order and what sort of figures he and his agent will have in mind.

If Sané and Jesus and any other player can match the impact of Sterling's 39 goals and assists in 41 games, 9 points won from late goals etc. they're welcome to getting paid similarly as far as I'm concerned.

Part of buying all these young players is them developing into world class players and getting paid like it.

Jesse Lingard earns £110k a week, that sort of puts it into perspective...

Leroy is a superstar and easily worth £150k a week in the present market, especially as Bayern Munich would probably like nothing better than picking up another superstar on a free transfer in the next couple of years.

Jesus signed a new deal after the World Cup, he's well remunerated!

Can be a superstar but he isn't yet. He has a long way to go yet he needs to cement a starting spot also.

You'd think he'd be the first on here given his incredible love for Sterling. I have got that right haven't I?

I was on very early declaring it good news. Karen wouldn’t have seen it though she’d have been too busy ironing her city duvet.

That wasn’t sexist by the way in terms of ironing, more poking fun at her child like city bias

Poking fun at City bias!! Karen is held in high regard on here and doesn't deserve such throw away comments.
I'll get back to my ironing now.
Enjoy the evening Pal.

Which duvet cover were you ironing?

Raheem has shown determination, maturity and bottle this season and if this continues the club has done good business.
Here's to top of the league for everyone at our club.

Excellent news. One thing City have managed to do so well is retain players despite interest from elsewhere. Boateng is the only player we have lost who would have been in the starting lineup week in week out.

He seems to get better and better each week and is still so young.
I agree with virtually everything you say in the post but reckon for accuracy that Tevez would have been in the starting line up week in week out in as much as anyone other than goalkeepers are.

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned but Michael Brown has denied that Sterling is on £300k a week. Said it’s £180k plus bonuses UPTO £300k.

Bet we don’t see those headlines - much better to say he’s on £300k in order to perpetuate the media hatred.
