Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

What does that have to do with anything ha ha ha

What have I done to upset people on here? Is there a rule of a number of posts one needs before being allowed to post?

The rule is you have to post your first post before your second. The one after that has to be your third

What is the worst sanction that could be imposed.

Will it be another fine
Points.
Will we have to change our name
Maybe we would have to appoint Jose as manager.
Smelling and Jones at centre back. ?

Fellaini on a 5 yr deal.

Xmas may be cancelled this year.

In the words of Charlie Hunham ''I fucking hate journos''
An old acquaintance who was a bookmaker from Hull was stitched up by the Local Press, he had a mantra from that day on, never trust the three P’s, the Press, Politicians and Police, some very dubious characters in those three careers.

I've heard that the punishment they are considering is to ban any goals scored with more than 40 passes in the build up :(

"It boggles the mind that a club run so well in some spheres could -- if the allegations are true -- have been run in a way that was so craven, cynical, sneaky and downright stupid in others."

Marcotti shows his true colours after initially writing a supportive article in The Times - part of the Der Spiegel coven paying the leaker
"Football needs transparency. The first set of Football Leaks documents reminded us of this. This new batch does nothing of the sort. It simply chronicles past events of which most we were already aware. It might be amusing, but it’s distinctly lightweight."

What changed I wonder?

He has a point to be fair.

City also had a third option. They could have done things comletely by the book, failed FFP by maybe £50m more than we did, taken the hit and moved on. Those 2013 accounts, with the sale of IP both intra-group and to this third-party, controlled by us or friends of ours, were cringeworthy in some respects. And in the end, it did us no good as, thanks to UEFA's change to the calculation of allowable wages in their toolkit, we failed anyway.

Please explain what is the fair point made in
"if the allegations are true it boggles the mind that -- [the club could] have been run in a way that was so craven, cynical, sneaky and downright stupid'..."
Looks like Marcotti might not be the only one changing his tune here.

Question, regarding FFP rules how much more would utd for example have to spend than anyone else. I haven't actually seen a figure that shows the advantage they or any of the cartel would have.

This abuse of us isn't going away, we've got to take it on once & for all.

Dignified silence and quiet words haven't worked for 10 years and in fact it's getting worse.
We continuously see our club vilified and run down by a concerted effort to damage the reputation of our club because we have had the temerity to challenge the nauseating clique. Enough is enough, its time to take on the corrupt uefa and the bitter jealous elite and prove how corrupt they really are.

I don't condone the language but his overall point is that we did everything we could to increase revenue/reduce costs and it's come back to bite us on the arse somewhat. More than anyone else outside the club probably, I understand what we did and why we did it. Personally I don't much care but looking at it through non-partisan eyes, we've suffered reputational damage that could have been avoided. I don't think we'll suffer any more consequences than that mind you and I hope the club take the same ruthless, win-at-all-costs approach to whoever hacked us.

We got bought and the owner pumped his money in at a time when it was perfectly legal to do so. UEFA then introduced FFP at the behest of those spitting dummies out and said it was an attack on debt which it isnt as not one club in debt has been sanctioned, just a few that had the audacity to pump money in. We took our pinch as per our Chairman after they moved the goalposts but we made it clear that the pinch was a one off thing and it wouldn't be repeated.

Since then we have had our accounts signed off by both UEFA and the PL and we have had money returned from the fine we received due to meeting all our obligations re FFP.

I really do hope that the club have told UEFA that any attempt at moving the goalposts again to try and find us guilty in any way will be met with one of the biggest ever lawsuits in sports history.
