We have better he'd be completely shown up as would Soyoncu
Spot on, KDB was unplayable yesterday. He ran the show.Sums it up for me. Yes, Chilwell has lost the duel with in-form Mahrez (and who wouldn't?), but his disastrous performance was Rodgers' fault first and foremost - he left Chilwell alone vs KdB and Mahrez, City have immediately identified this weakness and attacked that flank all the game.
think Chilwell would be fine here, think we need that top competition and rotation, allow Zinchenko and Foden to cover in CM/LW with Dave leaving, saves us money. Him or Grimaldo anyway.
If you want us to get spanked by counter attacking teams even more, then we should definitely sign him up.
It's not one game. He's pedestrian. Not in Mendy's class. Mendy is recovering. Whether he will get back to the level he was at before he was injured we will have to wait and see but one of the best things about this last month has been his recovery. He's put several strong games together back to back
He's never impressed me when we have played them.
I mean every game we have played them over the last couple of seasonsTo be fair mahrez was on fire.
Do we know that Pep does want Chilwell? If Mendy continues to improve. Do we reckon Pep will still want Chilwell? As competition to him? And perhaps sell Angelino and Zinchenko? Or move Zinch to midfield.
Do we know that Pep does want Chilwell?
If he did he might have changed his mind after Mahrez minced him last week. Personally I think Chilwell is bang average and he will cost stupid money. We didn’t value Slab head anywhere near Leicester’s valuation and I expect this to be the same.
I like Chilwell. A solid left back. Solid. The fact a lot of City fans don't care for Mahrez and then watched him rip Chilwell to pieces the other day, probably says that he isn't good enough for us, Chilwell not Mahrez.
