Better places, and players, upon which to spend serious money. Plus, Saul can fill in there, too!

Zinchenko gets into any team outside the Top 6 and even into some in the Top 6, so why spend £30/40/50M on Chilwell when you get Saul for slightly more and he can cover LB, too?

Only possible reason for a Chilwell purchase is FIRST CHOICE LB, and selling Mendy to help offset the cost! I could live with that.

I dont see much difference in him to luke shaw. And shaw is equally unable to play at the level we would need.
Young, english, talented for a mid table team, but not better than that.
Overpriced and a waste of time.
Getting mahrez was such hassle, steer clear of them

He didn't. He looked as most people have noticed, as simply doing a job there. Nothing special. If he was like 20-30m (MAX) then okay decent enough buy, but anymore is robbery.

Edit: Reading over your comment again I realized your definition of 'good' could probably mean doing a job there, which if it is, fair enough, but I believe we need higher standards than that. Players who come in need an X-factor. Everybody who is talented in our squad has that.

I should clarify. He is an okay squad player who can be a back-up. In today's market for about 20m I think that's acceptable. But while I say that, I think we should go for a better player and pay more.
