It's irrelevant that he inherited a position or a "scheme" as you call it. At any point he could have changed it, he negotiated the 2014 settlement personally (we know this), he has been Group CEO for EIGHT years, he will have been centrally involved in budgeting, FFP compliance, he has directed every step of the discussions with UEFA, he will have been central to the strategic approach to the leaks, the interaction with UEFA, the stance taken, the dispute strategy. The CEO takes credit for all the successes of the Group but naturally he takes responsibility for all its failings. How can it be any other way.
I'm not sure people comprehend what will happen if we lose. If you make the sort of allegations (implicit and explicit) we have made, go for CAS rather than settle with a "we will win" attitude and and then lose at CAS, the storm will be vicious and we will have no shield. We will be attacked from all angles both in the media and in the game itself with people looking to disrupt or do more serious harm.
