Coppell hasn't got a packet of sweets in his hand, has he?Jimmy Wagg has just told me Stevie Coppell is waiting on the sidelines for the greatest comeback since Jesus Christ.
No but I was told he'd just bought some new shower towels.Coppell hasn't got a packet of sweets in his hand, has he?
I get all that and can understand the sentiment, but leaving the question unanswered will bring more negatives than positives to the club next season. It'll be another media circus show on a weekly basis which we could do without.
Thats cynical. :-)I’m convinced Ian just posted his CAS tweet on the basis of the exoneration WhatsApp chain that was doing the rounds on here, with other posters saying the same thing before he tweeted out anything.
Now, after there was again activity on this forum with other users saying that Pep’s extended, he’s tweeted out another ‘scoop’ at a rather convenient time.
Call me cynical, but I genuinely think his source is bluemoon and he regurgitates it as his own.
Unless of course you are a player about to commit to a long contractThe degrees of it will depend on how well the team are performing,
Pep still managed a domestic treble in his final season at Bayern despite having to admit in the December he was leaving at the end of the season - Pellegrini got to a Champions League semi-final and won the League Cup.
You certainly don't hand Pep another £20m, one-year extension, if we then have to hand him it as a pay-off next summer because he's come up short again (depending on your definition of that) - and City have made an unnecessary rod for their own backs.
It makes complete sense just to keep a rolling review, manage the team and part with a handshake of mutual respect if it then needs to be the case.
Neither side would want to be seen sacking Pep Guardiola, too much love and respect on both sides.
Pep's duration on his contract is actually perfect as it stands. It affords flexibility for both.
If Pep dosent extend and goes who do you think his replacement would be? all iv seen is Pochettino, id love Nagelsmann but Bayern are in the way of that.
I still think that Saturday was worse as it was a one off tie and we didnt go for it.We fucked up against Spurs by being so defensive at their place and not getting an away goal. We got a pen and missed it and then just sat back and didnt play our normal game. Yes we were utterly fucked by VAR in the home game, but that away game still annoys me and was similar to the Lyon game.

Yep, I'd have to go along with that and I'm as big a Pep happy clapper as you could get.Yikes. If they're doing that I hope everyone involved knows what they're doing.
IMO the priority should always be what's best for the playing squad. No one can convince me that the best thing for the players motivation going into the new season is Pep's contract ticking down and the circus that will surround that.
What is, the news of 2 extra years, or the news that there'll be no news till December ?This is news to plenty people at City today.
How many of them did we actually deserve to lose? (Where we had fewer chances and therefore ‘not taking those chances’ wasn’t the issue)exactly the same thing that got use beaten 5 times before.
December is a nonsense,it would damage us as it did last time,he has said all season the time to talk about contracts is after the season,so nowWhy? Maybe he needs time to think , he never extends contracts in July
Cheesey a KFACheeseman is a soothsayer. ;)
We lost , end of, we finished 19 points behind the winners and lost 9 times. How many of them did we actually deserve to lose? (Where we had fewer chances and therefore ‘not taking those chances’ wasn’t the issue)
