To be fair with Neville sometimes, you know he's saying it in a kinda jokey way about City sometimes. He was very outspoken re FFP.

The Premier League champions are often mocked for their humble beginnings prior to their billionaire takeover in 2008, with Sheikh Mansour’s investment into the club having catapulted them into the elite of European football.

The jokes were not lost on former Manchester United defender Neville, whilst ex-Liverpool player Carragher also trolled the club as they took a pre-match walk through the club’s ground.

Brilliant footage has emerged of the pair from Neville’s Instagram account, brutally rinsing the club’s ‘Legends Lounge’.

“There’s no one in it!” Jamie Carragher says as he sees the room.

“Steve Lomas! Georgi Kinkladze!” replies Neville, as he names some famous names from City’s not so illustrious past.

Maybe when he see's the likes of Slabhead, Daniel James and Co in there dressing room it will make him hurt even more.

At the end of the day, he is now a sports reporter/"expert" in the media.

His football club preferences should be left at home, joke or no joke, the digs are unnecessary and very unprofessional.
I mostly agree with you, but I think a large part of football — especially in the context of the PL ultimately just being another form of entertainment, like film, theatre, etc. — is the banter and the humour.

So an obvious joking illusion to his base allegiances is not something that bothers me.

Micah has made jokes on occasion about not wanting United or Liverpool to do well in various situations, and I don’t think anyone would earnestly argue that it is an example of unprofessionalism.

We watch for the conflict and rivalry and infrequent reminders of it are — even if we like to say otherwise — what keeps us engaged. Your post above is another example of it.

Your posting about it in general supports my point. ;-)

Will be interesting which players we would sweeten any deal with.

Obviously Gundogan is totally off limits...........................possibly KDB. :-)

Nothing wrong with banter, it's what it's all about, but unfortunately as we have seen to our cost, the UK media "banter" has become far worse, and somewhat vindictive.

I do have issues with that.

Especially from Mr Carragher, his club has no moral grounds whatsoever and he personally has no moral standards as shown by his disgusting actions early in his media career.

alright lads let's pack up our things, it is over :(

And Paris is a ray of fucking Sunshine.

last time i looked it wasn't on the Mediterranean, and pissed down there just as much as it does in Manchester.

Thats when it is not lit up most nights like a leaking Gas main by warring Gangs with all sorts of grievances.

That’s rich given he’s talking about a city that literally has a syndrome named for it based entirely on how much of a let down it is when you finally visit.

Paris syndrome (French: syndrome de Paris, Japanese: パリ症候群, pari shōkōgun) is a sense of disappointment exhibited by some individuals when visiting or going on vacation to Paris, who feel that Paris is not as beautiful as they had expected it to be. The syndrome is characterized by[citation needed]a number of psychiatric symptoms such as acute delusional states, hallucinations, feelings of persecution (perceptions of being a victim of prejudice, aggression, or hostility from others), derealization, depersonalization, anxiety, and also psychosomatic manifestations such as dizziness, tachycardia, sweating, and others, such as vomiting.

Oh, Carragher is an entirely different beast.

He can **** right off. :-)

Given that the most likely route for a transfer is if Bartomeu drops the release clause, how does Messi best achieve this?

Strike? I think so. What else can he do? He has asked to be released. It has been ignored. Does the barca board think that Messi will still carry on as normal? There doesn't seem any option open to him. He either continues to protest or he accepts he has to stay until the end of the season.
If Barcelona go legal and win, what happens next? The transfer window will be shut and they will have defeated their own greatest ever player in a public court case. They'll have to carry on paying the rest of his £48 million a year contract and he could just tell them he's injured most of the time. I don't know a single thing about this but I'm pretty sure it's not going legal.

I find that quite funny to be honest. And he knows full well City have had a team the rags could only dream of over the past few years. Plenty of records and trophies and names for us to celebrate now. Despised him as a player but he is pretty balanced as a pundit most of the time despite how much it must hurt to see us and the dippers winning the league over the rags.

May I ask if there is any info on who goes out because of Messi coming in? Surely there is a shortage of foreign spots and so far we haven't made sales of Otamendi, Zinchenko or whoever else is taking up an extra spot.

Ferran filled up David's spot, Aké is home grown, Bravo's spot probably going to Steffen, is it Sané's spot? But also Koulibaly could be coming.
I'll be gutted if its Zinchenko but if it has to be him its the price that will have to be paid
