Most cases are in the young , most admissions and deaths are in the over 45's , like it or not the young are infecting the oldest
I used to deal with the 25 plus age group. I had one person moving into work in 6 months.
Since dealing with the 16-24 age group I've had about 20 moving into work in 2 months.
I think we need to stop blaming the young. Whilst undoubtedly they may be inadvertently "spreading it" I think we need to recognize that many of them are going into the workplace and are helping the economy.

lol? Are you being serious??
Well in fairness at least she has got the exams next year spot on, no way can they still have grades decided by exams next summer.

It doesnt take a genius to work out there is going to be some massive unfairness with some kids missing lots of schooling and others not, thru no fault of their own. Sadly Gavin Williamson is about as far from a genius as you can get and he thinks an added three weeks next year will sort it. My Daughter has already missed two weeks along with 250 other pupils in her year bubble who are all isolating after 1 positive test, other schools are less affected by covid in lower risk areas and other schools have classroom size bubbles.

You would expect after the exams fiasco this summer he would have taken the time to see how schools across the country were fairing, but he gave no clear instructions so many Local Authorities are adopting different measures.

Seems like Williamson just decided to take a guess with my childs education. My local MP will be receiving a strongly worded letter from me in the next day asking for an explanation of this fools decision. Frankly its just not good enough.

Thinking of my daughter quitting Liverpool uni and going back next year. She is in a room on her own and just totally depressed and not well at all.

Absolutely crazy Manchester is not in tier 3.
Looking at the idiots in the Trafford Centre at weekend, looking at some of the students who dont give a fuck and looking at the muppets not bothering with masks.
We should be 3, I'll give it until November to be proven wrong.

I'd be amazed if it got to November, i think we will be there after this coming weekend.

Of course they are , it is not blame as in nasty , more the figures show they are the ones catching and spreading it and the have to be more careful, whenever i see crowd shots on the telly then it is nearly always youngsters not social distancing , i am scared for the old come the holidays, if they dont test the ones at uni then it will be carnage

I think we need to be afraid for everyone, in some shape or form.
It's going to be horrible for all.
Let's hope that when we get to spring 2021 there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

Get her tested and bring her home if she is negative , i think remote learning would have been the way to go unless it was not possible as some have said , this was totally forseeable to everyone but dido and the gov , an attempt at herd immunity and the old and vulnerable are paying for it and the poor kids who are ill feel like shit

we would be but for burnham.

Does not make any sense.
I‘ll tell you what wouldn’t make sense, a leader doing well in the polls with huge lead in the polls, with an election in a few months, deciding to copy and follow just about the most unpopular man in Scotland. That would be just stupid, and like her or not agree with her or not she isn’t stupid.

Sorry I have no idea where you are coming from now. Could be me so don’t get upset.

positive still

All seems rather pointless then.

Whitty would want rules that go back to do not leave the home except for essential reasons on a permanent basis. Which is not realistic.

it’s difficult to really analyse the numbers when the testing is so poor.

it was inevitable that numbers would go up at this time and there has to be an acceptance that this will happen. It’s so easy to say that 1 death is too many but if we operated like that for every illness or risk we would never leave the house, walk by a road, drive a car, breath the same air as others etc...

I get some inadvertent passage of virus from young to old but if a teenager passes it to THEIR grandparent it is the conscious decision of both parties to allow the contact to take place between the two.
