Rules are the minimum you should do, are you not clever enough to do more
Well obviously you are much, much more clever than anyone else on here on indeed in the country so we should all admit we are not 'clever' and do exactly what you say! Entitled knob head

Fortunately no one really cares what your opinion is, he was asking what the rules are not for a sermon. Being so clever I’m surprised you don’t know the difference.
Bloody hell I wish I'd never asked!!! He sounds a fun guy

Ffs do you think it’s a good idea, or do you need up to date clear guidelines as to what to do. What an absolute load of bollocks
Just read some of your replies to other posters. What a knob. I love the ignore button. Enjoy your self righteousness

Did you check If your allowed to call me that fuck whit, or was the messaging confusing for you, did Boris mumble or Whitty give mixed messages, or are you confused if a golf trip with the lads is ok, or can you go to the pub or not. It’s soooo confusing.

Soooo? Haha anyhow I think we can all move on.

It's obvious to see why she would feel that way, but it's a vibrant industry and it'll bounce back, so my advice would be stick at it, or she's wasted the other years too, not just this last one.

My lad (30) was very down in March, as his company (recruiters of IT people) basically shut down, he runs the Manchester branch and was doing so well, but overnight it was a complete shutdown, he was understandably very worried. I told him then, that whilst there would be issues for a few weeks, it'd have to come back, and within a few weeks it had, not at the level before initially, but once things calmed down it struggled back into life, and now seems to be doing OK again, certainly he seems to have enough work.
Its easier for us older generation as many of us have had our share of knocks in life, if you are just starting out sometimes things in life can seem a little overwhelming. especially in this year.

Yes I understand that, we just have to convince them it's still worth it, keep her positive if you can, and good luck.

In the last few months I've trained (sometimes in the office, sometimes from home) several relative youngsters, new to the job I do. They all have experience of what I do, but on a smaller scale, but they've come to work at a job with considerably more output than they are used to, it's interesting that the most positive in mind, have grabbed the challenge and done well. One is still struggling to get to grips with it after about 2 months, she unfortunately had a bad start, and got rather negative about it, we're all trying to help her, but it's a bit of a struggle as she tends to over think everything.

Here's a post from another thread on BM. Its title is '' What do you miss most pre Covid''. My heart goes out to her, how couldn't it? I hope I'm not out of order posting it here. Let's find some humility for each other please. If you think your having it hard think again...

''Our adult son - he is disabled and lives in a care home - we have only be able to see him a few times since 15th March which included 133 days separated till July - no touching is allowed and we can see him only under supervision from care staff. Prior to lockdown he came home every other Saturday and stayed overnight with us-he lived at home until he was 19. He is non-verbal so even though we FaceTime him regularly it’s just us talking and hoping he smiles back- I pray that he doesn’t think we have abandoned him. He doesn’t have the capacity to take in the enormity of the situation and I have no idea of a future time when he can begin to stay over with us again. It’s pretty much broken me.''

Genuine question. Are there figures of how many students have gotten sick with this?

not in any way to blame students for any outbreaks. what im interested in trying to ascertain is percentages of infection, in a bit of a cold hard way.

A few people are suggesting that there is a high percentage of TCell immunity in the general population. if we can see what percentage of students are getting ill in halls then we can have quite a big pool of data on if that TCell immunity is actually real.

I thought I read something in which c800 students at one university tested positive but only around 10 were showing symptoms at the time. Of course, symptoms may have come later to some.

What is happening at universities should be researched. It could generate some very useful information.

That's really sad. So many people, not even touched by the virus, are suffering greatly. My heart goes out to that person.

We have been unscathed, so far. The main issue being my 11 yr feeling isolated. I consider ourselves very lucky.
