Why do these high end medical guys work for governments and do a presser and say stuff they don't believe in eg, Witty in the uk, and Fauci in the states. Why don't they just back off and leave..... not like they need the cash.

They are both way smarter than the twats in charge telling them what to say.

Sorry to hear that Mike, does your son understand what you are saying when you try and explain what’s happening and that you’ll bring him home soon as this pandemic is over, that’s where the rules seem so harsh on vulnerable people and we need some better solution.
It's not Mike's son, it's a copy and paste from someone else in another thread.

It’s called Greed.
Pigs at the trough.

Manchester is Tier 2 from Wednesday.

So today, no rule of six indoor or in private gardens

But tomorrow rule of 6 can meet in private gardens

Is that correct?

No. It’s the existing rules until Wednesday.

if people want the virus to be under control they will need to protect themselves beyond the rules. That happened in the Spring when people started to reduce the R rate before the lockdown was introduced.

Manchester might have too many “too cool to chant” and football lads alliance type morons to take enough notice of the rules, I hope I’m wrong and this is people’s chance to put their houses in order and avoid another lockdown.

Well in fairness at least she has got the exams next year spot on, no way can they still have grades decided by exams next summer.

It doesnt take a genius to work out there is going to be some massive unfairness with some kids missing lots of schooling and others not, thru no fault of their own. Sadly Gavin Williamson is about as far from a genius as you can get and he thinks an added three weeks next year will sort it. My Daughter has already missed two weeks along with 250 other pupils in her year bubble who are all isolating after 1 positive test, other schools are less affected by covid in lower risk areas and other schools have classroom size bubbles.

You would expect after the exams fiasco this summer he would have taken the time to see how schools across the country were fairing, but he gave no clear instructions so many Local Authorities are adopting different measures.

Seems like Williamson just decided to take a guess with my childs education. My local MP will be receiving a strongly worded letter from me in the next day asking for an explanation of this fools decision. Frankly its just not good enough.

My son has his GCSE's next whenever it has been moved too now, you seem far more articulate than me so if you could copy my MP (Chadderton North) in there that would be great.

Williamson has been an absolute shambles throughout this whole mess how he's not been hung drawn and quartered is completely beyond me, useless ****

The media are absolutely trolling the nation at present. After weeks of outrage about our liberty and draconian measures hurting business we are now being told to be angry that we were not all fully locked down for a 'circuit breaker' weeks ago. I despise the tories and think bj is a ****, but at present the politicisation of covid by his / their enemies is disguising - apart from starmer of course who is towing the line tbf.

Man reinfected twice, second time more dangerous. If true there goes the herd immunity option.
I suppose that's no different to being hit by the flu or colds repeatedly. Could be mother nature solving our over / ageing population crisis with a disease that picks of the old and weak.

We now have 24 hour a day, rolling doom and gloom. You can see the editorial meetings opening with "right, what negative slants do we have today then?"

Kay Burley and Sky have taken it to a whole new level.
