I'm sure it would make some difference, but a 2 week lockdown won't do anything in the long run IMO. Why did Italy, Spain and France have to do a 'circuit breaker' for months. Where has this term suddenly come from 8 months into the pandemic and why didn't we just do this before if they work so well?
 
Holland and Belgium both taking stringent measures, French PM addressing his nation tomorrow and even the compulsively law abiding Germans experiencing increased infections.

Scientists aand politicians all arguing the toss about what to do next. What a mess.

And two shameful English clubs or their American owners plotting in the middle of all this to plotting to take over control of the premier league.

How can you fine someone that has fuck all? They can't police half the areas in the UK as it is what makes you think they can manage this?
 
Would love to know what the latest Sage advise is in regard to a circuit breaker, if 3 weeks ago they were talking about a 2 week lockdown then would that still apply given the virus has continued to spread?

Or would they now be advising a 3-4 week lockdown?
 
So our local landlords protest made the news. The leader stated that it was not fair that our rural area was under the same restrictions as bigger local cities as our infection rate was so low. About 5 minutes later they show the current stats and over the last week our little rural area has the highest admissions and deaths in the area

I agree, I would hate to see it but maybe an army presence on the street would make some of these knobheads think again about flouting the rules.

Would hate to be in a position where this was needed though,

Maybe once the daft cunts start getting fined they will start reigning in their bravado.
If they knew the consequences to breaking the laws were serious enough they would soon stop thinking they could do what the fuck they want.
If you haven’t got anything then do as you’re told and you won’t have to worry.
Nowhere can be policed 100% but it doesn’t need to be if the fear of getting done is strong enough.
It’s a fucking worldwide pandemic, not a bit of littering or graffiti on some shopfronts.
People take responsibility for their own actions and we’d have half the problems you’re seeing now.

And sadly yes to have any great effect I suspect that lockdown would have to be the best part of six months because the weather will not be getting less helpful to Covid.

As I have maintained from the start the only way out of this is a vaccine and or treatment that would make Covid far less lethal. We had better hope that this as has been speculated is a matter of weeks away rather than months or years because if not in 12 months from now the world will look more like how it was in the 1930s at best.

I would have thought the lockdown would need to be 3-4 weeks. No one allowed out of their home, no flights in or out. Food delivered by the army. If you’re sick you get collected and taken to the hospital.

I know it’ll be tough but that’s the only way to get rid of it.

Those with it either recover at home, get treated or sadly pass away but if we want to get rid of this thing that’s what it’ll take.

No mixing whatsoever.
