If you are putting a system in place then look at the whole picture, at level 3 I can still go to work, I can go to a restraunt, I can still go shopping at none essential stores, Schools are still open, fuck me I can still play golf!!!!!!!!

And yet at Level 3 we are at the highest risk, there should have been level 4 and 5 at least, and the final level should have been been a full shut down.

All that will happen is they will have to introduce new levels further down the line and look like it was an afterthought and once again show the incompetence they have shown for the last 6 months.

A pub near me has just changed yesterday its food hours from 12 - 7, to 12 -9. I wonder what thats in preparation for. Plenty more will be following that as well and come sat night when we are in tier 3 there will still be pubs everywhere full of people with a bowl of chips getting pissed.

We were barely testing in April. safe to say the daily cases were probably at 100k a day minimum back in March/April.

so if we're now testing more and catching maybe 50% of cases then we're still at about a 3rd of that case wise.

Hospitalisation wise we are at the same point now as we were towards mid March though. ( just England we are at the same level in hospital as 25th March, but dailiy increases not quite so fast at the moment )

People need to grow a pair , i still cant believe people, mainly the young , havent grasped what is happening , but i want to do what i want to do , i want i want , makes me want to fucking slap them , they are not being targetted , this is all over the world

Are you heck a scientist , you advocate giving vaccines that have not been fully tested and passed safe and without the efficacy being proven because two countries who can force people to have it are doing it

It is better than tier 2 I agree but I am not convinced it will make enough difference if there are locations within a quick drive that are not in tier 3 and so allow for people to do things they cannot under restriction.

If you load up the ring road with tanks tier 3 might force GM down. If those determined to defy the rules can take a 20 minute drive and go somewhere else that they are allowed to it will happen.

Its probaly why Wigan and Stockport being exempt initially did not work. Way too easy for people in Bolton to go to Wigan and Tameside to go to Stockport to get easily round their restrictions as their cases expanded.

When you have a country that anyone can get to anywhere in a few hours there is no safe zone from this virus. Unless you treat lockdown as a nation not a series of isolated pockets you end up just risking the exporting of the virus not containing it.
 
I am not a scientist, nor do I want to particularly debate the rights and wrongs about any particular social distancing measures all the time. But I do know and understand enough about the information that we have on covid to spot bullshit.
By all means oppose lockdown measures but don't invent spurious nonsense about IFR's and lack of a 'wave' to justify it.

they really wont be , we are doing proper trials with the correct steps ,a vaccine here and the states will be ready when it is safe and effective, not a moment sooner

They are doing Phase 3 trials in parallel e.g. Russia, Venezuela and the UAE.

We need someone like the WHO to take a look at the most promising candidates and run the trials themselves so that the best vaccines get promoted first. At the moment we have Chinese students overseas who have been vaccinated. If those vaccines are safe, then why aren't they being made available to the world or at least being expedited globally with expanded trials and volunteers?

I stand by everything I have said on this thread. I said numbers would rise, they are rising. I said I didn't believe they would reach the levels we got to earlier in the year. We are currently nowhere near those levels. I also think you are a particularly close minded rude individual who is one of the main reasons I don't post on this thread anymore. I'm only back as I was tagged earlier. Bye.

As i said to you before , comparing now to the start is completely flawed for lots of reasons and comparing the two is useless and just to try and back up your position on the second wave , i am not so much rude but i dont suffer bullshit, you should keep posting if you are sure on your position and provide evidence

Whatever else these numbers are they are not really rising let alone rising fast.

Don't say that you will get the lockdown gangs knickers in a twist. Only a few posts above people are complaining that level 3 is not enough.
