Todays top 10 red zone boroughs - though based on the 5 day old data - shows some of the trends in the daily data of weekly pop numbers for the 10 GM boroughs.
Here is the government list - excluding the Northern Ireland regions in here under different restrictions to the mainland.
Showing weekly cases and the Weekly Pop Score as I do daily for the 10 boroughs in the GM scoreboard each evening.
Knowsley Weekly 1000 cases Weekly Pop 662 (as I noted last night it has fallen from 176 a day to 107 since Merseyside entered tier 3 which this list will not yet reflect that as it is several days behind)
Nottingham 2031 wkly cases Wkly Pop 610 (last 3 day numbers 314, 247, 244)
Liverpool 2901 wkly cases Wkly Pop 582 (last 3 day numbers 444, 507, 340)
Blackburn 862 weekly cases Wkly Pop 575 (last 3 day numbers 188, 181, 151)
Rossendale 383 weekly cases Wkly Pop 535
Rochdale weekly cases 1120 Wkly Pop 503 (last 3 day numbers 181, 246, 198)
Salford weekly cases 1278 Wkkly Pop 493 (last 3 day numbers 256, 241, 186)
Rossendale is the real shock - a tiny Pennine valley area (where the movie Whistle Down the Wind was filmed and TV series Juliet Bravo) sandwiched between hot spots - Burnley/Blackburn on one side and Oldham/Rochdale/Bury on the other.
Wigan must join that list soon as it has a Wkly Pop last night of 553 and rising from 270 to 315 to 326 cases in past 3 days. Rochdale's Weekly Pop score last night was 593 well up on the 503 above after 625 cases in the past 3 days.
Indeed on last nights Wkly Pop data on my list only Stockport, Tameside and Trafford have a weekly Pop score below the 493 in the list from 5 day old data that has 493 pop score in the number 10 position.
Rochdale at 593 might well be pushing for number one as only Knowsley and Nottingham is above it on the numbers in the 5 day old data list. And both have been falling since.
