That’s sad to read.Sadly after that match today's data is not going to cheer any of us up.
England hospital deaths horrifying 185 - with 74 in the NW alone.

I live fairly close to a major trunk road.yes me too. I have all year. Work in town and commute home. Never in my life have I heard so many sirens.
Hope she is okMy younger daughter (32) has caught it from work at Sandwell General. She sounds bloody awful.
I personally think a kettle is pretty essential if yours has broken.
Whitty was right , people should have listenedSo the UK hospital deaths today are a very sad 218. Versus 108 last week. And 48 the week before that.
In those two weeks the reported UK hospital deaths have more than quadrupled.
Unless this slows we will be looking at 500 deaths a day by mid November.
Let us hope someone knows what they are doing and it does.
Wish I had more faith that they do.
I never understood why there was any argument, it was obvious what would happen. The battle of ideas on here about the rise of deaths in the second wave not even being enough to count as a second wave a few weeks back has been rather silenced by events.
Part of the problem is even well meaning people look at the restrictions and work them to the limit....rather than doing as little interaction as they can with the restriction limit as the ceiling.I never understood why there was any argument, it was obvious what would happen.
It's also clear that far too many are still not following the rules, so don't care for their own friends and/or families, which above all else I don't understand.
We have to get on with life, that I understand, but we can do that responsibly, and look after each other, there will always be people who shout "fuck the rules", but so many are being utterly selfish, it's a sad indictment of this country, and clearly it's not just this country either.
