Very encouraging words from Pep in today’s post match interview stating his “time as Barcelona manager is over”.

BT Sport studio were shocked with the rather conclusive comment.

Pep probably has the wisdom to know most managers who return hardly ever recreate the initial magic. Never go back, as they say!

Yeah there’s a time and a place for top men to go to the right places.

However his answers have never suggested he is staying beyond the season. Longer could be May/June.

Maybe, but they are quite upfront about him - often I’ve heard Lineker or Humphrey preface a question to him on air by something something like ‘Obviously it wouldn’t be an outcome you’d particularly want, (but City are looking good to win this)’ etc. If he objected to little comments like that he would have told them by now, so he clearly isn’t trying to hide anything. Just how it looks to me anyway.

I do agree with you about he presenter himself though; he’s got no excuse whatsoever, and is always trying to stir things up about us.
